    Si Jose Rizal ay ipinatapon sa Dapitan noong Hulyo 17, 1892. Ginugol niya ang
    kanyang oras sa mga makabuluhang gawain. Ginamot niya ang mga maysakit. Matiyaga
    siyang nagsaka at maingat na nagplano ng patubigan para sa mga tanim. Nagturo rin siya ng
    mga samahang sibiko. Gumawa siya ng ilang eskultura at mga drowing. Sumulat din siya ng
    mga tula. Lubos siyang hinangaan at iginalang ng mga taga-Dapitan, pati na rin ng kanilang
