Activity #1. Review of Adding and subtracting Fractions
Steps in ADDING/SUBTRACTING FRACTIONS
1. Ensure that the bottom numbers (denominators) are
the same. If they are not, change them so that they
are the same (they have a common denominator).
2. Once the denominators are the same, add/subtract
the top numbers (nominators) and place the result
over the common denominator.
3. Simplify the fraction (if possible).

Activity #6: Reflection


Directions: Fraction means part of a whole and we are all part of a whole. In every whole, there are similarities and
differences that affect one another. Similarity can lead to unity in terms of opinions, beliefs, traditions or
cultures. However, differences should not create walls among us instead let us build bridges that will connect us
all. Create a 5-sentence prayer or a mini-poster that shows RESPECT and ACCEPTANCE of individual
differences to promote a peaceful society. Write your output on the space provided.
