Report of Actuators (SAR 07.

6-F10) at RO A and B

Introduction of the mentioned

Actuator controls; actuator controls are used to operate AUMA actuators and are supplied
ready for use. The functions of actuator controls include standard valve control in OPEN-CLOSE
duty, positioning, process control, logging of operating data right through to diagnostic
functions.

Local controls/ AUMA CDT; Operation, setting, and display can be performed directly at the
actuator controls. When set to local control, it is possible to ● operate the actuator via the local
controls (push buttons and display) and perform settings (contents of these instructions). ●
read in or out data or modify and save settings via AUMA CDT software (accessory), using a
computer (laptop or PC). The connection between computer and actuator controls is wireless
via Bluetooth interface (not included in these instructions).

Intrusive - Non-Intrusive; Intrusive version (control unit: electromechanical): Limit and

torque setting is performed via switches in the actuator. ● Non-Intrusive version (control unit:
electronic): Limit and torque setting is performed via the controls, without removal of actutator
or actuator controls covers. For this purpose, the actuator is equipped with an MWG (magnetic
limit and torque transmitter), also capable to supply analogue torque feedback signals/torque
indication and analogue position feedback signals/position indication at the actuator controls
output.

Operating the actuator from local controls

Actuator from local controls Local actuator operation is performed using the local controls push
buttons of actuator controls
Detected Error;

At RO – (A) the AUMA Actuator (SAR 07.6-F10) suddenly off and that shown red light on HMI
Screen.

Accordingly to the manual that issue was be due to sensor means Limit Switch was little
disturbed on it’s place.

After the Technicians realize that quoted issue coming from the internal
software application so they increased some of values and also decreased
the actuator became unsustainable for the according to the need.

Then They surf that problem is coming with the Limit Switch and they set
the Limit Switch according to the related manual and the red light had
gone.
But the Actuator SAR 07.6-F10 of RO (B) was not working on the authority of the Plant SOP
and they perceive that complication with the fuses of inside the actuator and they checked that
was work, they further checked the panel fuses and also they checked the related Relay of the
allude but didn’t happen any amendment.

Note: Primary fuses; The actuator controls have to be opened to exchange the primary
fuses. For detailed information, refer to operation instructions for actuator
Fault indications and warning indications; Faults interrupt or prevent the electrical
actuator operation. In the event of a fault, the display backlight is red.
Warnings have no influence on the electrical actuator operation. They only serve for
information purposes. The display remains white. Collective signals include further indications.
They can be displayed via the Details push button. The display remains white.

They grasp the issue is coming from the HMI Electronic Card They changed the electronics part
with the RO A actuator to known the issue but no amendment.
And the Technicians replace the HMI Electronics Part on its own places.

The RO B Actuator SAR 07.6-F10 of RO software application also they perceived the main issue
is soft application they checked the electronics board.

After the Actuator RO A was worked but the actuator motor heated up after 10 minutes about
to 45 degrees centigrade up.

The Related Maintenance Engineer Realize the main problem is coming with the allude software
application that had been disturbed.
The Related Engineer Copied data Setting on RO C actuator and past the setting in the Quoted
RO A and B.

When the Setting had been done of the HMI soft application and after they run the twins and
the problem has been resolve.

Conclusion

Torque fault CLOSE; Torque fault in direction CLOSE; Perform one of the following measures:

● Issue operation command in direction OPEN.

● Set selector switch to position Local control (LOCAL) and reset fault indication via push button
RESET.
Torque fault OPEN; Torque fault in direction OPEN; Perform one of the following measures:

● Issue operation command in direction CLOSE.

● Set selector switch to position Local control (LOCAL) and reset fault indication via push
button RESET.

Note; The same issue was with the RO (A) auma Actuator SAR 07.6-F10 and Related Engineer
did the same setting in the quoted
