I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to:
a. analyzed the poem entitled “ The Road Not Taken” thoroughly.
b. interpret the importance of making choices and decisions in life.
c. make a reflection about the poem “ The Road Not Taken”

Topic: “ The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost

Materials: Visual aids, Laptop, Power Point Presentation, Picture

1.2 Prayer
“Remain standing for our prayer”
“Ok, Ms. can you please lead the prayer” “Yes, ma’am”

1.3 Classroom Management


Before you take your sit, pick a pieces of
paper under your chairs and arrange your
chairs properly as well. (The student will do as they’re told)
Before anything else, let me discuss our
classroom rules.

“ Is that clear, class?” “ Yes, ma’am”

How about your attendance?

“Do we have any absentees today?” “None, ma’am”

1.5 Review of the past lesson


Before we proceed to our next topic, let’s
have first a quick review of the past lesson
we had last meeting.

“What have we discussed again, last week?” (Student will answer)

“ Yes, (student) “We’ve discussed the poem entitled unending


love, ma’am”
“Very good”

Now, who’s the author of the poem “ (Student will raise their hands)
Unending Love”

Okay, miss/sir, (student) “The author of the poem is Rabindranath


Tagore.”
“Very good’

I’m glad that you still remember the topic we


discussed last time.
1.6 Motivation
“Since everyone is feeling well, and it seems
that all of you are ready and have a lot of
energy, let’s have an activity.”

Instruction: I will play a video that will help


you to have an idea on our topic today. As I
played the video you must pay attention.
Later on I will ask you some questions about
on the video you’ve watched.

(Student raise their hands to answer)

Now, what have you notice in the picture? Student 1: I noticed that she needs to choose
between…..

Now, If you were Goerge, what would you Student 2: Ma’am, Love
choose, your future or the person you love? Student 3: Ma’am, the person I love

Who among you chose future, raise your (Students raise their hands)
hand.

Why did you choose your future? “I chose my future because…..”

Who among you chose love, raise your hand?


“For me ma’am, I chose love over future
Very Good, class! Some of you choose love because…”
while others choose future, but all of you have
different reasons why you chose that
decisions, okay. “ Yes, ma’am”

1.7 Activity 1
“Since we’re done with our first activity, let’s
have another activity”

Instructions:
 Volunteers to play this game is quite
impossible so I prepared a speaker and
crumpled paper with different
questions that based on the picture I
will flash on the screen. On your seats.
As the song started, you have to pass
the crumpled paper and as I stop the
music, the one who holds the
crumpled paper will answer the
question. There’s no wrong answer so
you do not have to worry. You are not
allowed to pass the ball, you just have
to past it to your seatmate.

“ Understood?” “ Yes, ma’am”
