1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND
Bonny Fields are located in SPDC‟s OML-11, about 40km southeast of Port-Harcourt.
29 wells (22 Oil and 7 Gas) have been drilled to date. Production started in 1973 and
achieved a peak oil production of 34.3Mbopd in 1975.
Bonny Flowstation which takes wet gas from Oloma to Bonny Terminal Fuel Gas plant
is a 2 bank flowstation with 2 HP and LP separators and 1 surge vessel, which has the
capacity to handle 30Mbopd.
The Delivery line from Bonny Flowstation to the Tie-in Manifold (TNP) is an 8” line with
approximate length of 120m. It is designated to handle a capacity of 42Mbopd.
1.2 OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this document is to provide sizing calculations for the equipment within
Bonny AG Solution.

1.4 UNITS
The units shown below (SI units in general) shall be used as the main design units and
all values quoted shall be in these units. It is possible to show alternative values and
units as indicated in the brackets only, after the design unit when it is believed
desirable. The size of the unit shall be appropriate to the value being measured.

2 METHODOLOGY
The scrubbers were sized using API 11P and GPSA standards as a basis. The
maximum flow case of 5.041MMSCFD was used. The scrubber ID and seam to seam
dimensions are calculated based on the maximum allowable gas velocity. the main input
and data are presented in attachment 1.
The fuel gas KO Vessel (V-4501) was sized according to Ref 2 as a vertical wiremesh
vessel with Half Open Pipe internal.
A design margin of 20% was specified to account for surging and uncertainties in the
basic data.

The Flare Stack (F-4301) was sized according to Ref 3. The input data for the
calculation was got from the hysys simulation. The estimated distance from the grade
level to flare is 60m.
The dry air receiver (V-4602) is sized base on peak air demand for the control valves,
shutdown valves and start-up requirements as shown in attachment 5.
A margin of 20% is specified to account for distribution leakage and drier regeneration.
