Project Title: A Proposed Service Station for Truck Hub

Statement of the Problem:

Your client commissioned you to design a service station for his truck business with a gas refilling
station that is mixed with industrial and residential development for his 1 hectare lot with 50m
depth. He requires a gas refilling lane of 10 x 7.5m with 6 pumps. There will be 5 underground
storage tanks for 49.20 x 20m. Near the gas refilling station is the carwash lane that would cater
4 cars at the same time with the dimension of 12m x 8m. Adjacent is the covered water and air
island of 1m x 3m right ahead is a 2-storey commercial building that serves as their multi-business
office. Both ground and 2nd floor has an area of 28m x 12m. Provide 6m driveway for commercial,
industrial and residential. Behind the commercial building is the light industrial area with 4, 250
sq m. There will be two warehouses. Warehouse 1 will be 28m x 40m and Warehouse 2 will be
28m x 30m. There is a 200 sq m motor pool, a truck parking area for 8x85m, loading and unloading
for 640 sq m and a generator room and utility room for 8x10m, up ahead is the 300 sq m
staff/driver’s house. The owner’s 2-storey residence has a 320 sq m building footprint with a 560
sq m gross floor area, located in a residential lot of 50x55m. The client wants a paved playground
for his children with an area of 200 sq m. he also requires a 6m x 6m gazebo.
