    REFLECTION

    A learner-centered teaching philosophy recognizes that students are active participants in


    their learning journey and emphasizes the development of critical thinking, problem-solving,
    collaboration, and lifelong learning skills. It fosters a positive and engaging learning
    environment that empowers students to become independent and self-motivated learners.

    Learner-centered teaching promotes student autonomy and self-directed learning. It


    recognizes that students have unique strengths, interests, and learning styles, and allows them to
    take ownership of their learning journey. Students are encouraged to set goals, make choices, and
    take responsibility to their academic progress.

    In this lesson, the whole class is grouped according to their interest. This will empower
    my students to take ownership of their learning. By providing them with choices, encouraging
    them to set-goals, and involving them in decision-making processes, students have become
    active participants in their education.

    When students have a say in their learning, their intrinsic motivation naturally increases.
    By allowing them to pursue their interest, determine their learning pathways, and connect their
    learning to the real-world context, they have become invested in their studies.

    Embracing learner-centered approach has had a transformative impact on both my


    students and myself as an educator. It has empowered students to become active learners,
    fostered intrinsic motivation, developed critical thinking skills, and supported individual learning
    needs. By promoting collaboration and self-reflection, students are better prepared for lifelong
    learning. As an educator, this approach has challenged me to continually adapt and grow,
    enhancing my ability to meet the diverse needs of my students and create a positive and
    empowering learning environment.
