FORMATION OF ADJECTIVES - Adjectives can be formed from nouns or verbs by
adding a suffix.

Degrees of Comparison : Adjectives change in form to show comparison.
They have three degrees of comparison namely positive, comparative, superlative.

Spelling rules to form Positive Comparative Superlative

1. Add –er or –est to -bright -brighter -brightest
adjectives with one or -loud -louder -loudest
two syllables
2. Double the last -sad -sadder -saddest
consonant before -red -redder -reddest
adding-er or-est, if an
