Printing
This section describes how to print with Easy-PhotoPrint, PhotoRecord, and PhotoStitch. These software applications are included on the Canon CP Printer Solution Disk. They simplify the printing process.
Before printing, verify that the printer is on, and that the printer is properly connected to your computer with a USB cable. Printers and computer displays use different color reproduction methods, and lighting conditions and display settings affect the appearance of colors on your computers display. Therefore, the colors in prints may differ from what you see on the screen. This is not a printer problem. Do not change the spool settings. The status monitor may not function correctly. For how to install the software, see the Printer User Guide. Camera information such as scene and photographic conditions are embedded in images captured with cameras compatible with Exif 2.2 (referred to as Exif Print). Easy-PhotoPrint and PhotoRecord allow you to print clearer, betterlooking images, because they automatically optimize print quality (as the default setting) for images captured with cameras that support Exif 2.2, as well as other images. PhotoStitch enables you to merge multiple images to create a panoramic image. PhotoRecord enables you to print with custom image layouts. This is useful for creating greeting cards and so on.

Printing Single Images onto Single Sheets

This example prints a single image, t to a whole sheet, with no borders.

Double-click the [Easy-PhotoPrint] icon on the desktop to start the program.

If the [Easy-PhotoPrint] icon does not appear on the desktop, click the [Start] menu and select [Programs] or [All Programs], followed by [Canon Utilities], [Easy-PhotoPrint] and [Easy-PhotoPrint].

Select the folder in which the image you want to print is saved.
Follow the displayed instructions.

Click the image you want to print.

The color of the frame around the thumbnail you selected will change to be blue. To change the number of copies, click the [w] and [v] buttons under the image.

Number of copies

Click the [2 Paper Selection] tab, then select the name of the printer model and paper size to use.

You can create panoramic images ( p.13) by merging multiple images, and then printing them on wide paper.

You can also specify multiple images printed on a page, or bordered/borderless printing.

With borderless printing, a slight border is trimmed from the image during printing.

Click [Print] in the top right of the window.

Printing starts. If you stop printing while printing is in progress, paper is ejected to the paper handling slot and a printing error may occur. This is not a malfunction, but a mechanism for protecting the print head. If you interrupt printing while it is in progress, be sure to check the printer status. If the ON/OFF button lights green: You can continue to print. If the ON/OFF button lights red: Temporarily remove paper from the paper handling slot. Turn the printer off and then back on again. Confirm that the ON/OFF button lights green before printing again. Note that when printing is interrupted, one prints equivalent of the ink cassettes ink sheet is used.

Printing on 8-Label Sheets

If the [Easy-PhotoPrint] icon does not appear on the desktop, click the [Start] menu and select [Programs] or [All Programs], followed by [Canon Utilities], [Easy-PhotoPrint] and [Easy-PhotoPrint].

Select the folder in which the image you want to print is saved.

With borderless printing, a solid red frame indicates the area that will be printed. Any parts of the image that run outside of the solid red frame are not printed.
