ACTIVITY 3: CASE STUDY

1. What do you think has molded the fair, honest and cheerful behavior of Mang Eugenio?
- The experience on his job has molded the honest and cheerful behavior of Mang Eugenio.
He is molded by love. He loves his job and he is passionate about his job that’s why even at
that age he still carry-on the positiveness and happiness for as long as he lived. He is also
aware that the world is a cruel place to some and that he wanted to give his passengers a
short time to be able to gather peace and love.
2. What lesson have you learned from the good example of Mang Eugenio?

- The lesson that we can learn from Mang Eugenio is to make the situation better than
what is given and to value the job and what it offers. Do not only act because of the benefits
that a person is wishing to acquire just like the kindness with a smile that Mang Eugenio
showed his passengers which is a genuine act of kindness. One must act because it is ethical,
and it is right. One must act because he or she wants to be ethical not because he is forced
to do it.
3. In school, how can you teach and train students in fair, honest and ethical behavior?

- Create activities that would let the students experience situations that encourages them
to do good on basis of what is morally correct and what should be done to make situations
better that would help them in the future. Be a role model to each one of what they should
become. Show or teach students that we can be ethical in both hearts and minds not only by
the words we speak but also by the actions we commit.

1. I could show fairness by Treat others as you would like to be handled. Take it in turns. Tell it
as it is. Stick to the guidelines. Consider the impact of your decisions on others. Listen to people
with an open mind. Don't blame anyone for your mistakes. Take care not to take advantage of
others. Playing favorites isn't a good idea.
2. I could show accountability by Set a good example and be the first to keep yourself
accountable. Practice giving and receiving reviews. Make it a practice to be accountable.
Recognize that delaying feedback exacerbates the issue.
2. I could show transparency by Trust employees to make decisions. Don’t keep responsibilities
and job functions a secret. Share results. Know where to draw the line. Hire the right people.

Question: If you were the COO, what would you do? Why?

personal growth to be able to take charge of the day-to-day operations of such an important
company — all things that appeal to me enormously and that will inspire me to do the best job that I
can possibly do to help. Once I learned a management role within the store, I had the opportunity to
rearrange the layout of our electronics department. The company provided recommended layout
options, but I researched some of the best methods of attracting customers into the department. I
decided on an ergonomic flow that really pulled customers into that area of the store. Sales in the
department increased by 5% over the next two months.
