I Live in Ecuador
I live in Ecuador. Ecuador is a small
country in the north of South America.
The Equator is a line that divides
the world in north and south. That
imaginary line crosses my country,
Ecuador. My country has four regions.
There are three continental regions:

Pacific Ocean, the highlands that have
the Andes mountains and volcanoes, the
Amazon rainforest that has jungle and
long rivers that go to the big Amazon
river. Also, there is an insular region, the

Story Facts

I Live in Mindo
Lolo and his family live in Mindo. Mindo is a small town
in a rural area between the highlands and the lowlands
of Ecuador. You have to cross the Equator to go to Mindo.
There is a lot of nature around the town, there is a jungle
of trees and flowers. Many birds live in Mindo, there are
a lot of hummingbirds and toucans. Many tourists come
to visit this beautiful rural region.
Lolo and his family have a restaurant. His father cooks
delicious food with products from Mindo and his mother
makes very sweet brownies. Lolo helps his parents a lot.
When the tourists come to visit Mindo, Lolo shows
them the river, the waterfalls and the birds in the area.
He opens a map and talks about the beautiful places in
Mindo. He is a very good guide!

Materials you will need:
• 2 sheets of bond paper.
• Glue, scissors, colors or markers.

Instructions:
• Take one bond paper sheet, fold it in half longwise and
cut it. You have 2 half sheets now.
• Paste the two halves in each side of the complete
sheet.
• Write the names of 4 Ecuadorian regions. Each one on
