APPROACH IN WRITING OBJECTIVES

BEED 1-AB

The lesson objectives has three (3) elements, namely:


1. The Performance
2. The conditions under which the behavior is to occur
3. The criterion of success

* The PERFORMANCE is the behavior that the learner displays if he learned what
was INTENDED for him to learn.
* The CONDITIONS refers to the circumstances under which the learner is ABLE
TO PERFORM or exhibit the learned behavior.
* The CRITERION FOR SUCCESS is the standard against which the learner’s
performance is evaluated for us (teachers) to be able to tell whether or not the
learner’s objective has been attained.
- Criterion is the minimum level of acceptable performance of the learner.

EXAMPLES:
1 .Applying the elements of skills in simple game activities;
The pupil must be able to perform basic skill involved in throwing
and catching the balls WITH EXPECTED ACCURACY OF MOVEMENTS.

2. Given primary steps/ rules to follow;


The pupils will be able to execute number one to five steps

3. Within 60 minutes; the pupil must be able to present (execute) the


simple skills involved in throwing and catching with 80% accuracy.

1. REFLEX MOVEMENTS

2. FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENTS

*Infinitives
- to crawl, to creep, to slide, to walk, to run, to jump, to grasp, to reach, to
tighten, to support, to handle

-Changes location, move in space while remaining in one place, moves
extremities in coordinated fashion

3. PERCEPTUAL ABILITIES
*Infinitives
- to catch, to bounce, to write, to balance, to bend, to draw from memory, to
distinguish by touching, to explore

* Direct objects
- coordinates two or more perceptual abilities ( visually and auditory)

4. PHYSICAL ABILITIES
* Infinitives
- to endure, to improve, to increase, to stop, to start, to move precisely, to
touch, to bend

*Direct objects
- exerts tension, moves quickly, stops immediately, endure fatigue

5. SKILLED
*Infinitives
- to waltz, to play the game,, to play the piano, to skate, to juggle, to paint, to
dive, to fence, to golf, to change

*Direct objects
- changes or modifies basic body movements pattern, uses a tool or implement
in adaptive skilled manner

6. NONDISCURSIVE COMMUNICATION (body languages)


* Infinitives
- to gesture, to stand, to sit, to express facially, to dance skillfully, to perform
skillfully, to paint skillfully, to play skillfully

*Direct objects
- moves expressively, ,moves interpretatively, communicates emotions,
communicate aesthetically, express joy
