    A number of personnel from the McLaughlin & Harvey Offshore team


    recently completed a three-day BOSIET course (Basic Offshore Safety
    Induction and Emergency Training).

    This offshore survival training, which is OPITO-


    accredited, is targeted at personnel working in the
    offshore industry. Theory and practical sessions
    give a basic knowledge of safety and emergency
    response procedures when working offshore and
    travelling via helicopter. The Course consists of
    Helicopter Evacuation from Sea Surface and Under
    Water Escape, Basic Fire-Fighting Skills, First Aid,
    Permit to Work (PTW) and Temporary Enclosed
    Motor Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC). 

    The addition of this course to our Offshore team’s portfolio of qualifications enables
    McLaughlin & Harvey to be more reactive to client’s various work package requests, allowing us
    to expand our field of operation with access to more offshore facilities.
