Memorandum of Understanding
between POTRERO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
and BARANGAY 73 COUNCIL - CITY OF CALOOCAN
for LEARNING PACKETS DISTRIBUTION AND RETRIEVAL.
This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) made and entered this ____ day of
______, 2020 at Potrero National High School establishes a type of partnership by and
between
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, Potrero National High School, being one with Department of Education, seeks
to ensure that students’ learning progresses even amidst disasters such as natural calamities,
storms, fires, and pandemics.
WHEREAS, this plan overcomes obstacles created by the disasters through innovative means
of teaching and learning, keeping students on track with their courses.
WHEREAS, with various Learning Modalities offered, POTRERO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
utilizes MODULAR DISTANCE LEARNING in partnership with aforementioned Barangay Unit
to help assist in the Distribution and Retrieval of Learning Packets to and from the officially
enrolled students of the school.
WHEREAS, the two (2) parties have come to this consensus to maintain school and
community partnership in the efficient undertaking of school learning continuity plan
(MODULAR DISTANCE LEARNING) amidst pandemic and to ensure adherence to the safety
protocols set
by Inter – Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases as
classes opens on August 24, 2020.
WHEREAS, the main agency (Potrero National High School) has sole responsibility to
prepare the number of Learning Packets needed and that it is set to orient its students
and their parents of the procedures and guidelines for the distribution and retrieval of
materials through various means such as flyers, infographics, virtual meetings etc.
WHEREAS, the partner agency (Barangay 73 – City of Caloocan) have come to agreement
that it will take charge of the distribution and retrieval of materials to learners who have
been identified to be living in the said Barangay based on documents/data prepared by the
school for the said undertakings.
NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises and the terms and
conditions herein set forth, the parties hereby agree as follows
2.1.1 Provide policy guidance and directions to ensure the proper implementation of the
project.
2.1.1.3. Prepare Learning Packets with labels and place them in sealed
container before turning over to designated Barangay Officials.
2.1.1.4. Secure checklist for those who received and returned the learning
packets
2.1.2. Coordinate with the school beneficiaries and the PARTNER AGENCY/LGU in
the implementation of the project.
2.2.1. Distribute the Learning Packets in its own strategy based on the list of students who
are identified to be residents of their Barangay.
2.2.3. Designate people to man the distribution and retrieval of the learning packets
2.3.1. Update from time to time as needed, as to the development of the said undertakings.
Section 4: Term. This memorandum of agreement shall take effect upon its signing and
shall remain in full force during the entire Academic Year and may be extended
upon mutual agreement unless otherwise new guidelines are set by Inter –
Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases
allowing and declaring face – to – face class interaction.
Section 5: Capacity and Authorization. The parties herein warrant that they have the
capacity, power and requisite authorization to enter into this Understanding.
Section 8: Breach of Contract. The violation or rescission of the same without need for
legal or court action.
