Here is what you should be doing every day… it only takes 50 minutes
Office Work
Blog Marketing: Here you may or may not have to have a website to create your blog… but you need
to have one in order to generate any leads! And, you have to write a lot and often! Plus, you have to
be REALLY interesting. Creating a Blog is easy, and anyone can do it. The REAL challenge here is get-
ting active readers who really like you, and want to constantly hear your ideas. Then, there is the chal-
lenge of actually converting your readers to recruits – this is no small feat! Frankly, there is way to much
work involved to get to the point where you're talking directly to a real prospect when you consider my
method.
A rticle Marketing: Here you must position yourself as a REAL expert, and be able to create sizzling
articles – after all, in order for this strategy to work you need convince webmasters from around the
globe to post YOUR articles on THEIR website. This leads me to the next problem with this strategy…
you still need a web site AND your article must be so persuasive that readers will leave the site they
are on just to learn more about you! You don't need a series of articles to position yourself as an expert.
You just need a social networking page that does the job for you.
Web Marketing: Now, this is a HUGE topic. We could literally spend days talking about this. So, I am
going to make this short and sweet. Web marketing is EXPENSIVE. Anyone, and “yes” I mean anyone
who is telling you differently is either lying about the cost or their real experience in the field. I have a
site… and I know first-hand the challenges and real cost of keeping a site up active, and attracting traf-
fic. Believe me, having a website is not the “Field of Dreams!” Just because you build it they will not
come! No one is looking for you or your site.
Search Engine Marketing: Now this is another BIGGIE! And, we could spend hours, if not days talk-
ing about Search Engines. In fact, according to Google there are over 47 Million Web Page results for
“Search Engine Marketing”. And, the reason is simple. Search Engine Marketing is extremely complex.
Those who are really good at it do it FULL-TIME! And, then charge others a fortune to help people like
you and me. And, you better have a BIG budget! Also called Search Engine Optimation, it's not like the
old days when experts could load your page with key words so you'd be at the top or any search result.
Today, the search engines charge for placement. You don't have to go to all this trouble to drive people
to your site. You can pick people out like candy; connect with them; and direct them to your site after
they beg to learn more about your business.
Postcards: Now, this could work. But you need an experienced printer and mailing firm, a careful craft-
ed message, and access to a super-responsive mailing list. OR, I guess you could spend hours print-
ing and hand-addressing. Either way, you better have a sizeable budget as even industry insiders will
admit that response rates are often less than 1%. Ouch!
Cold Calling and Telemarketing: Now, you could try cold calling. But you better have nerves of steel,
and understand the FTC’s “No Call” regulations! Personally, most people hate cold calling and for good
reason. It's a waste of time when you consider my system.
Buying Leads: Now, I have warned people against this over the past thirteen years. So today, just ask
yourself: “What has lead buying gotten you so far? Most people spend way more money than they ever
make purchasing leads. Where are these leads REALLY coming from?” And, how many people are
really buying these same leads? AND, if the leads are REALLY that good why are they selling them? I
have yet to have ever heard a convincing answer to any of those questions. You'll NEVER buy anoth-
er lead after completing my program.
12
Three kinds of pages you will find.
1. Total COMMERCIAL
For someone's business Page creators expect people to see the page, contact them and ask about
their business.
Since nothing on the page is about them personally, people want and expect the details on the deal.
Since people aren't offered much personal information about the pages creator, they may be reluctant
to give information about themselves.
The pages creator attempts to control the communication by asking qualifying questions. If the person
inquiring wants to know more about it, they have to answer the questions. But the page creator is
viewed as a salesperson trying to sell them something.
Trying to contact people directly exposes the page creator to a Spam complaint as the online agenda
is as obvious as the contents of the page.
This type of page is the MOST LIKELY TO BE DELETED by any of the social networking sites
The page creator uses the business reference in their page to encourge people to ask about it.
People who focus on the personal aspects of the page and ignore the business part know your online
agenda is sales and are waiting for your to drop a sales pitch on them.
People who make contact and want to know more about the business are more open to revealing
personal things about themselves and answer questions more freely.
The page creator still needs to ask qualifying questions before going into any detail about the business
to determine WHY the person is interested.
People who communicate on a personal level will repeatedly turn the page creator down if the
business is brought up prior to qualifying them as a prospect.
13
Since there's a mix of personal and business information people will communicate with reservations
waiting for you to hit them with your sales pitch.
You can control your comunication by asking qualifying questions. If your business comes up, qualify
them first before offering details. Just because someone asks about your business doesn't mean they
are interested or are a serious prospect. They are just being polite.
If they ask you about your business, they'll answer your qualifying questions they want to know more
about it, however you're viewed as a salesperson trying to sell them your deal.
Trying to contact people directly exposes you to a lower Spam complaint risk as type #1 but your online
sales agenda is still obvious and if people feel your only contacting them to sell them on your deal, they
deny and report you for spamming.
This type of page is likely to be deleted by the social networking sites if you contact the wrong people.
You're free to contact up to 40 new people a day without risking having your page deleted.
Positive Affirmations
Positive affirmations are any thoughts or speech that begin with "I am" then state a positive; "I am thin"
as opposed to "I am not fat". These do okay if you say them often enough.
BUT what works better and we know this of people who lie about something so often and for so long
that they actually believe it's true and that is referred to as 'dominant thought" or making it part of your
'every day language'. That is powerful.
My methods for showing people how to design their online identity takes on several advantageous
roles:
First, your online identity serves as a consistent positive visual and written affirmation and what's
better about these compared to 'mind movies' and picture boards is that you're seeing YOU in the light
you create, not some clip art gallery person or material object. If that worked you could look at skinny
models in magazines all day and become skinny, or read the Dupont Registry and have a Ferrari. Nope,
it has to be you you're visualizing, not someone else.
14
Second, your online identity 'attracts' the people you befriend, in fact it most likely attracts them to
become your friend in the first place because your identity is of someone who is successful, positive,
motivating, etc.
Common interests play a role but not as powerful as the combination of commonalities AND being
someone that someone else will feel like they can benefit from knowing
Third, your online identity forces you to make the person you create part of your 'every day language'
and as the liar believes his own lies, YOU will believe your own success story when you become that
person several times per day online.
"mind movies"
"making it all part of your every day language", all in one program.
Where else could you bring all of these proven techniques into the consistent repetition it takes to make
it all come true?
BE - DO - HAVE
IT WORKS IF YOU DO
15
WHO ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
6. People burned out in their careers: Teachers, Nurses, people too long in their jobs
Behind every picture on a social networking site is a person with an online agenda that
is easily recognizable by the contents of their page. By the time you have 250 friends on
any site you'll know what I'm talking about here.
1st contact: Friend Request Examples: Simply Cut & Paste any one of the following into
an email or instant message.
Hi, My name is Max. I like what you did with your page. I'd like to add you as a
friend. If you see me online feel free to send me an IM.
Hi, I found your page while waiting for a friend and would like to add you to my
friends list. My name is Max. Feel free to IM me when you see me on.
Hi, My name is Max. Enjoyed your page. Please add me to your Friends List and
send me an IM when you see me online. BTW, what do you do?
Hi, I'm Max. Really liked your page. Please add me to your Friends List. I'm online
often so feel free to send me an IM. Look forward to hearing from you.
A lot of people are turning to the Internet to make extra money during
these tough economic times. Have you ever thought about doing anything
like that?
Don't EVER talk about your business until you know their need
or interest.
17
WHO ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
For example...
“ I have an Internet business that gives me the money to travel and sail.
What do you do?”
Benefits
that....(fill in your own personal benefit - what made you decide to get
into your business, what will you be doing with all the money you're
going to make)
11. Why do you think you couldn't make money in the business?
" It's important to get their story. You're not interested in their company or
compensation plan, you're interested in their systems (websites - Tools,
etc.) Perhaps they have better tools than you do.
19
• How are you being affected by what's happening with the economy?
Example 1
Q. "I have an Internet business that gives me the time to spend with my kids.
How long have you been in real estate?"
A. "I've been selling for 15 years. What kind of a business?"
Q. "I'd be happy to. Are you familiar with the network marketing industry?"
A. Yes or No possible answer
Example 2
Q. "Be happy to. Are you familiar with the network marketing industry?"
When a prospect has indicated a need or interest in your business or product, don't try
to explain it to them. Use one of your "Tools" to introduce your company, product or
service to them.
List of Tools: website, online video presentation, live conference call, recorded
conference call, etc.
Some people prefer to talk on the phone with a prospect before sending them
information. That's a matter of personal preference.
If you speak before your prospect after asking questions #4 and #5 you won't close
the sale. The first person who speaks after these questions are asked is the loser. You
win the sales game if you remain silent.
It's your JOB to help your prospect see if the opportunity is for them.
You're not in the convincing business, you're in the sorting business.
$300 - 2 people
$500 - 3 people
$1000 - 4 people
$1500 - 5 people
Then show them what they make when they bring in more people.
They will see the opporunity if you break it down this way.
People will also want to know about their ongoing expenses will be on a monthly
basis, in addition to their initial investment.
22
What will they earn if they continue to bring in 2,3,4,5,6 or 8 people each month?
As their sponsor, it's your obligation to help them reach their goal.
If they're genuinely excited about your product or service, they'll know people in their
warm market that could be interested too.
CONCLUSIONS
Max,
Just a word of thanks from your "Slow Starter" and a little Feedback from your course:
1. I learned that for many of your students it takes longer to start seeing the kinds of results we all
want to see. Just like with NWM, to be legitimate, this is not a "Get-Rich-Quick" type of tool, as is
advertised by so many network-internet gurus; we must have patience, and we must practice our
new skills - DAILY! I was beginning to think I was retarded because it was taking me so long to
get into action.
2. We have to Absolutely Make Sure That Our Profiles Are About Us (the individual) and only a
small hint of our internet-online business be in the content of our profiles.
3. We should seek to find those people that we have something in common with and let the weirdos
and whackos talk to each other. When we invite a friend, it should be for a reason, there should
be some potential bond.
6. Problems occur because 80% of the time we are talking to the wrong person.
7. Now with moods, status, bulletin boards, and blogs, we have multiple ways of reaching out to
others, and having others reaching out to us.
8. People don't reject your business or products, they reject you. The rejection is either about the
screen name, the profile photO, or because you sound too "Salesy and Too Hyped."
23
9. I'll start REGULARLY attending your Ask Max Sessions and Monday Night Sessions, starting
tomorrow; AND will start sending conversations, hopefully, this week-end.
10. I'll be your poster child for the old guy that didn't get it the first time around, but just kept hanging
around on the fringes until something you said or sent made sense [and registered], and now
look at him: He's at the top of his company!
11. My next step will be to invest in some 1:1 personal coaching with you. /coaching
Best Regards,
Herman-Clifford
