Overview

This is a short guide with which you can restart the Pandemic Legacy - Season 1 game. It
requires to have the original game with all the cards not destroyed. This means mainly
objective cards, eventually player character cards and also epidemic/player city cards as it
can be destroyed by Nuclear option action.

Requirements
What you will need:
1. print all stickers and character cards (source files attached). Stickers will look much better
if you use glossy sticker paper instead of mat sticker type.

2. 15 envelopes each of 18x12cm. You can use also different size but at least 15x10cm if
you would like to a use an optional flavor graphics or at least 9x7cm for the upgrade and
rules stickers.

3. print vanilla manual (BGG in files section)

Procedure
Complete the following steps, some of them are optional:
1. sort out and compile the legacy deck using printed numbers in the lower right corner of
that card with letters followed by number "LD ##" . This will drive the game flow, whenever
there is a mention of rules (with letters) or doors (numbers) open the corresponding
envelope. Envelopes should be in the sequence starting from envelope 1 till 15.

2. remove all stickers from player cards and board. Optionally you can use the player cards
of classic Pandemic but new version with new graphics layout. The old first version of
Pandemic has non-compatible cards.

3. put all the stuff back to the boxes according to the list below. All the cards which belongs
to the boxes are also marked in the lower left corner of that card with letter "P#-#" following
the box number and card number. F.e. P7-8 is a card belonging to the box 7 and it's number
is 8 (Immunologist character).

4. cut all the stickers and put them in the envelopes according to the list below. Stickers are
marked with reference numbers and letters so you can keep order when cutting all the
individual stickers.
When to open each particular envelope is driven by the Legacy deck cards. The "Open
package" reminders I placed inside the envelope on the opening part:

5. put together small envelope for the (W) rule (8.1.) and (optional) for the Bravo Team flavor
graphics. This is to drive the flow correctly as the rule becomes available slightly later.

6. place the "Disease name" stickers over the game board on the disease name place to
make a place for the new names.

7. optional - print and put flavor graphics in the envelopes too. This is only to add some more
theme. It has no other impact on the game. I also used the "Documents", "DNA sample" and
"Gene sequence" small cards as a reminders to be held on the board. This is only because I
experienced during my 1st game of Pandemic Legacy that we forgot about those in the late
game. Those 3 items are necessary to open the box 7.
8. optional - use some of the stickers to enhance the envelopes. I used the "secret" and
"WHO" stickers but the actual graphics layout of the envelope can be of course designed in
some other way. Pack all the envelopes together.
... and you are ready to play

in a city at a time.
When player is instructed to add any amount of disease markers to the city (of any color), remove the

When you begin your turn, if your pawn is in a city with one or more Faded figures, take one scar and
add it to your character card. Remember: if you cannot add a scar, your character is lost.
R: Faded Cities
From now on, place Faded figures instead of COdA cubes - including game setup. Cities will change
into Faded cities as Faded figures appear in them.
Before placing Faded figures into a city:
Mark the city as a Faded city using the stickers that follow(if it doesn't already have a Faded city
sticker)
Replace all COdA cubes in the city (if any) with Faded figures
Then proceed normally, triggering an outbreak if you would need to place a fourth Faded figure.
S:
When adding Faded figures to a city with a quarantine marker, remove the quarantine marker instead.
If you are unable to place the number of Faded figures actually needed on the board, you lose the
game.
U:Convert adjacent cities
If a faded city outbreaks into any city - even one that's different color than the COdA virus - mark that
city as Faded city. This city will now produce Faded figures instead of cubes of its original disease.
When cities of other diseases outbreaks into a Faded city, place cubes as per normal rules.

along routes cut by a roadblock.
I: Build Roadblocks (cont.)
If a city is completely roadblocked off, do not mark an outbreak on the outbreak track when it
outbreaks since none of the adjacent cities are affected. Make sure to increase the Panic Level,
however.
Players may no longer Driver/Ferry along a route containing roadblock unless they discard a card of
the same color as the city they are entering.
P: Accelerated Incubation
When drawing player cards, first check if any City cards drawn match the color of COdA. Place a
Faded figure in each of the matching cities. If this would place the fourth figure, it is ignored and not
placed - no outbreak occurs and no quarantine marker is removed.

Zodiac Interferes
You must spend 1 additional action to Vaccinate for each military base in the region of the city you are
vaccinating.
Q: Create Vaccine
After drawing cards but before the Infection step, put 1 vaccine dose next to every vaccine factory on
the board.
If the supply of vaccine doses runs out, the players may decide which vaccine factories get doses.
