IN-SITU METALLOGRAPHY KIT

Features:-
The technique of in situ metallography involves location selection, mechanical grinding & polishing/
electrolytic polishing, electrolytic etching or chemical etching, replication and microstructural observation.
Equipment and consumables used for in-situ metallography is shown in below points with Photo. The kit of in-
situ metallography comprises of portable grinder, light grinder with variable speed controller, electrolytic
etcher/polisher, microscope and variety of consumables. This instrument has combined with preparing samples
on site, microscope observe and microscope photograph together. Operation is simple and quick, preparing
samples in different way mechanical, electrolysis and chemical.

(1) MICROSCOPE :-

Microscope consists of wide field-of-view eyepiece and flat field-view achromatic objectives, lightness can be
changed, it has micro focus mechanism, lens focus is stable. Image is clear. Light source is spotlight with
halogen family elements; it has guaranteed quality of image.

(2) Camera:-

Camera lens directly connect with microscope, auto camera can take photograph on site, and measurement of
light Strength is automatically.

(3) Portable Grinder:-

(4) Mechanical/Electrolytic Polisher:-

Variable speed, High torque, Flexible shaft, 90 degree handle. 38 mm disc for PSA paper & cloths.
Supply 230 V. AC.

(5) Replica Films:-

There are various methods of replica technique like, Cast resin technique or extraction replica. For
further enhancement in the contrast, sputtering with gold is done sometimes to study under the
electron microscope for high resolution.

(6) IMAGE ANALYSIS SOFTWARE:-

This software can be used in Steel Plants, Metal Forging Industry, Oil & Gas Industry, Material Science,
Mineralogy - Metal and Metal Strength Analysis quality control and where ever metallurgical microscopes are
used. This Package is very useful for industrial & educational institutions and all material science technocrats
and metallurgists.
