    It is to inform that, the Hon'ble Chief Minister during the (R&B) Department review

    meeting has directed to provide the signages and other road safety measures at all vulnerable locations/

    black spots on all the State Highways. The Superintending Engineers were also requested from time to
    (DRSC)
    time to submit Road Safety proposals with the approval of District Road Safety Committee
    recommendations.
    Again, all the Superintending Engineers are requested to co-ordinate with District Road Safety
    committee (DRSC) for identification of vulnerable locations/black spots and submit necessary
    proposals along with following items with detailed estimates.

    l. Cautionary boards
    e.g., 1) Curves, 2) Junctiorrs, 3) School ahead, 4) Gradients etc.,

    2. Mandatory sign boards


    e.g., l) limit boards, 2)' Stop boards etc''
    Speed
    3. Hazard Markers at narrow culverts
    4. Crash Barriers at high embankment locations above 3'0 mts
    5. Delineators at dangerous cunes including centre line marking, RPMs and

    Chevrons at sharP curves


    6.Rumblestripsonfeederroads(merginingonMDRtoSH,SHtoNH)
    7. Solar blinkers on median openings
    co-ordinate with District Road Safety
