Introductory Activity (5minutes)!ENCULTURATION VS. SOCIALIZATION!” (pairing)
Students (by pair) are asked to accomplish the Venn diagram of enculturation and socialization. They are
asked to present their output in the class.

Transition Statement: Now, that you are done with your Venn diagram and have it presented, I want you to watch
the following videos.

Activity (15 minutes)“Show Me a video!”


The students are asked to watch carefully the following videos to gain insights and understanding the
lesson. They are encouraged to take down notes in preparation for the next activity.

Transition Statement:Now that you have watched the videos, I presumed that you have the knowledge about the
topic. To understand more about the lesson, I want you to answer the following guide
questions.

Analysis (5minutes)”Answer This Please!”


The students are encouraged to give their ideas and opinions to deepen their understanding of the topic.

Guide Questions:
1. What is deviance?
2. What is conformity?
3. What is social control?
4. How does deviant behaviour affect the entire relationship of the society?
5. Is it necessary to conform the norms of the society at all times? Why? Why not?
6. Why do we need to conform the norms of the society?

Transition Statement: Wow, I was amazed by your answers. Now, to understand deeply with the lesson, I want you
to listen to our discussion.

Abstraction (5minutes) “Tell It To The SHS!”


The students are asked to listen to the discussion to understand more on the topic. They are
encouraged to take down notes in order to answer the next activity.

Transition Statement:At this point, I presumed that you have the knowledge regarding the topic. This time, together
with your partner you are going to accomplish the concept matrix map.

Application (20 minutes)“Concept Matrix Making!”


The students (by pair) are asked to accomplish the concept matrix below. They are going to
present their output in the class. A rubric is given.

The students are asked to list down five possible ways in mitigating deviant behaviour.

Transition Statement: At this point, kindly copy your assignment written on the board.

Assignment (1minute)“Behave Differently!”


The students are asked to list down at least five deviant behaviour’s that are observable
in their locality.

Transition Statement: Before we call it a day, lets sing and dance (the students are given freedom to dance with
their own action) the song entitled born this way.

4.1 Concluding Activity (3minute)“Born This Way!”
