I am a person who has always had a profound passion and fascination for areas requiring
an analytical approach. Right from early days at school, Mathematics has intrigued me. The
most challenging of all problems were my favorites and obtaining solutions to them would
leave me with a sheer feeling of ecstasy. I always did and always would thrive on solving the
most challenging problems. With a compelling desire to excel, hard work became my second
nature. My aspiration for a technical career prompted me to take up one of the most coveted
undergraduate program in Information Technology at Guru Nanak Institute of
Technology(http://gnithyd.ac.in/) the best of such institutions. My own systematic &
methodical approach towards finding a solution to any problem best suits this field.
During the first two years of undergraduate study I studied courses like, Theory of
Computer Science, Data structure and File Systems, Microprocessor Based Design and
Computer Organization and Systems Programming. These courses helped me gain a strong
background in the fundamentals of Computer Science. These were aptly complemented by the
laboratory courses. The challenging assignments that were a part of the laboratory courses
helped me to develop the required technical and programming skills. During the last two years
of my study, I took advanced courses like Compiler Design, Databases, Operating Systems and
Computer Networks.
My final year project entitled “A Survey of Technologies Used for Billing System in
Supermarkets”.Main objective of this project was to develop an Android application for
providing efficient checkout after taking required things in a super market.It also validate and
authorize feature to current sytem where private and confidential data can only be viewed by
authorized user.The source code mainly inovlves Java programming,C++ and Html.The
combination provides faster and efficient performance to the user.
Realizing the importance of networking and network security and the abundant scope
of research in this area, I did a seminar on “Security at Seven Layers”. This stemmed from the
need for secure transfer of information over the internet. The objective was to study the
different vulnerabilities at each layer and means of providing security against them.
Although a focused academic, I balanced my scholastic efforts by participating in

extra-curricular activities. I was on the Hackathon competition 2017 a national level
project exhibition and competition, which focuses on providing a platform for
interaction between industry experts and final year students by showcasing the talents
of the latter in the form of their final year projects.
My engineering degree has enabled me to understand the science behind most of the things
around me. Being good at quantitative and analytical skills helps me see the principle and
logic behind most of the things. I have the ability to strategize, conceptualize and analyze
creatively using out of the box approach. Being a computer engineer gives me an edge in
softwares and ability to adapt with changes in technology. In today’s modern world with
technology being a boon and bane at the same time, an engineer who understands its
intricacies can bring out fresh ideas in the field of Computer Science which has technology as
its backbone.
After completing my undergraduate, I joined an institute named Kelly Technologies which
taught me the basics of Machine learning.They taught us advanced excel,tableau,python and r
programming for data analysis.We also applied machine learning algorithms tofind the
accuracy of the model.Algorithms used are Knn,K-means,Apriori,Random forest,logistic and
linear Regression,Cart.Here we actually divided the data sets into three parts 1. Training
dataset ,2.Testing dataset,3.Validation.We mainly focused on the accuracy of models in each
dataset which gives better results.But,I still lacked the concepts and real-time examples of
these algorithms.So, I decided to do a master degree in the artificial intelligence inorder to
learn more about these things.
I am confident that studying at the Coventry University will empower me with sound
knowledge of the basic principles of this field and help me acquire the necessary skills to
reach my goal. Also my Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence from Coventry University
will give me a strong grounding and a perfect channel to capitalize on my strengths.
