    Firmware version 7.6.0.0 resolves noisy or high-speed fan issues in V5000, V3700, and V3500 storage systems. The "chenclosurecanister -reset -canister" command can temporarily fix the issue by running the fan at 120% for 30 seconds. Upgrading to firmware 7.6.0.0 requires each node to have at least 4GB of RAM or the upgrade will fail.

    IT10470 - Noisy/high speed fan. Other Storages affected: V5000, V3700, V3500
    Temporarily fixed using "chenclosurecanister -reset -canister "
    I just tried it myself:
    Connect via ssh to the storage.
     default logon user: superuser
     default password: passw0rd
    Make the canister above the dumb psu fan to flash:
    chenclosurecanister -identify yes -canister 2 1 (canister 2, enclosure 1 for example)
    If the canister is the right one:
    chenclosurecanister -reset -canister 2 1
    The fan will go 120% for 30 seconds and then will drop to normal levels.

    Temporarily fixed using "chenclosurecanister


    -reset -canister" CLI command

    E.g. To reset canister 1 of enclosure 3


    enter chenclosurecanister -reset -canister 1 3
    Workaround Note: The command should only be used on
    one node canister at a time with a pause, of
    30 minutes, between reset of node canisters
    in the same control enclosure. Customers
    running v7.5 code levels should be aware of
    HU00996

    Hello, I'm getting this error when i need to upgrade to latest release 7.6.0 on V3700
    each node is 4GB Ram ,
    ******************** Error found ********************
    The system has at least one node canister with only 4GB of RAM installed
    This will prevent an upgrade to 7.6.0.0 from succeeding.

    Như vậy, cần kiểm tra, collect support log và phân tích

    - version firmware
    - dung lượng RAM của canister

    Nếu RAM dung lượng bé hơn 4GB thì phải nâng lên 8GB mới nâng cấp được firmware và mới fix được lỗi
    này.
