CHALLENGE
To create a multi-tasking device that should be user friendly even for physically handicapped people. To create a device that should be helpful for the people who are dumb, in their daily life. To create a robotic device which can be controlled by using gestures unlike a traditional remote controlled device. To increase the level of comfort.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
AIM OF THE PROJECT:

To create a single Glove which is useful for multiple applications using the hand gestures (wireless). The different applications that we are going to implement here are: I. Controlling a robot II. Controlling the home appliances III. Voice enabled communicator To design the above mentioned futuristic device, we are opting for MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Sensor) Technology.

MEMS
Micro-Electro-Mechanical accelerometer Sensor (MEMS) is the integration of mechanical elements, sensors, actuators, and electronics on a common silicon substrate through micro fabrication technology. An accelerometer measures acceleration (change in speed) of anything that it's mounted on. Three-axis accelerometers measure acceleration in three directions. The MEMS we use in our project is MMA7260Q.

Applications of MEMS

MEMS-based sensors are a crucial component in automotive electronics, medical equipment, smart portable electronics such as cell phones. PDAs, and hard disk drives, computer peripherals, and wireless devices. These sensors began in the automotive industry especially for crash detection in airbag systems.

ADVANTAGES
Easy to operate Low power consumption User friendly Single equipment = multiple applications When extended further in the hardware section ,numerous applications can be added

One can able to control ones slave robots just by hand gestures by this technology.
18

APPLICATIONS
Plays a major role in helping deaf and dumb people in their daily life.

Can be used as an assistance for physically challenged people.

Military applications

Geographic excavations
General purpose device for better living

Useful for Animal Planet, Discovery people for their studies on animals by playing different sounds & for their exploration.
