FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Use dry chemical, CO2, water, or foam extinguisher. Firefighters should wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing for fires in areas where chemicals are used or stored. Water in a straight hose stream may cause fire to spread and should be used as a cooling medium only. Dense smoke may be generated while burning. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Contain spill immediately. Do not allow spill to enter sewers or water ways. Absorb with appropriate inert material, such as sand or clay. Pick up large spills with vacuum equipment. Appropriate personal protective equipment cited in Section 8 should be worn during all clean-up operations. HANDLING AND STORAGE Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing. Do not take internally. Avoid breathing vapors or mist. Use only in well ventilated areas. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep container closed when not in use. Handle with care. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool dry place away from heat, sparks, open flames or oxidizing agents. None. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION CAS NUMBER: ACGIH TLV TWA OSHA PEL TWA 3 3 5 mg/m 5 mg/m 64742-64-7 3 10 mg/m STEL Good general ventilation (equivalent to outdoors) should be adequate for normal use. For operations where the TLV may be exceeded, mechanical ventilation such as local exhaust may be needed to maintain exposure levels below applicable limits. For operations where the TLV may be exceeded, a NIOSH approved organic vapor respirator is recommended. Equipment selection depends on contaminant type and concentration, select in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.134 and good industrial hygiene practice. For firefighting, use self-contained breathing apparatus. Normally not needed. Launder soiled clothing before re-use. To prevent any contact, wear impervious protective clothing such as neoprene or butyl rubber gloves, apron, boots or whole bodysuit, as appropriate. Safety glasses with sideshields or safety goggles.
