The Help of the Holy Spirit


John 14 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and
you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and
to the end of the earth. Acts 1:9
1. The Hope of Heaven
For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to
designer and builder is God. . . They desire a better country, that is a each one individually as he wills. 1 Corinthians 12:11
heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for
he has prepared for them a city. Hebrews 11:10, 16

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our
inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary
affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all
comparison. 2 Corinthians 4:16-17

2. The Certainty of Success


So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to
me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall
succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could
number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages,
standing before the throne and before the Lamb. Revelation 7:9
5. The Promise of Peace
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because
he trusts you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an
everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:3-4
3. The Power of Prayer
Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that
end keep perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:18

You ask and do receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your
passions. . . The prayer of a righteous person has great power. . .
James 4:3; 516
