This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect and why, how data is classified and how you can delete it.
About Publigo
Publigo is an add-on for Google Sheets and Google Drive that:
Connects to your Drive to retrieve your document template, and lets you choose the template you want to use
Reads your Google Sheets (email addresses, column headers, cell content)
Sends emails according to the spreadsheet data as a campaign.
Some additional features can:
Connect to your Google Forms in order to retrieve the answers and generate files on form submission
This add-on is tightly integrated to your Google account and the data stored in the said account. When installing the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace, you will be prompted to authorize different accesses to your Google account. Those authorizations will only be used to perform the service you are requesting from the add-on you have installed.
To remove the add-on access to your Google account, you must uninstall the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace (see “User Account Deletion”).
Add-ons are created and powered by Google Apps Script, on Google servers.
Information gathered by Publigo will never be sold or shared to external people. When we need to store data outside of your Google account, we use Firebase, a serverless database developed by Google, so your data never leaves Google servers. We only store in Firebase data which is absolutely needed to provide our users the service offered by this add-on. Most data collected by our add-ons are directly processed within Google Apps Script and are not saved in any database for later reuse.
Our App's use of information received, and App's transfer of information to any other app received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API User Data Policy, including the Limited Use Requirements.
User Account Deletion
By using Publigo, we only access data that is absolutely necessary for the add-on to run correctly. If you wish to stop using our service, simply follow the steps below to uninstall Publigo from your Google account:
Go to the Google Workspace Marketplace Manage apps page
Next to Publigo, click the menu icon
From the drop down menu, click Uninstall
Uninstalling Publigo will interrupt all the add-on's functionality and activities on your Google account.
However, there is no automatic deletion of your user data in our database (Firebase). To get your data deleted, please send your request to [email protected] and we will proceed to the deletion within 30 days.
Data Classification
Depending on its security impact, data is classified according to the five following categories:
Confidential data has the highest level of security. Only the user has access to it. All emails from your Gmail box and files from your Google Drive are strictly confidential and Publigo never has access to confidential data.
Sensitive data is needed for Publigo to perform the service you are requesting from the add-on, and is never shared out of this scope. All sensitive data such as your recipients' email addresses and your email content remain under your control, within your Google account, Google Sheets, Google Form and Gmail.
Shareable data can be shared to specific people within the company. For example, the Publigo Support Team may ask users to share their Google Sheets, Google Forms and Drive files for troubleshooting purposes. We will never keep a copy of your Drive documents' data and we strongly encourage you to remove us access to your files once your request has been addressed and resolved.
Public data can be shared as public records, like all the content published in this Publigo's website.
Private data belongs to individuals who are responsible for the maintenance and backup.
Data Access
When you install Publigo on your Google account, you are asked to accept the following authorizations:
Why does Publigo need access to those scopes?
Drive access:
To access your Drive Files so Publigo can reuse your document template, save your generated files in your Drive folder etc.
Google Slides, Docs and Spreadsheet accesses:
To let you use a Google Slides, Docs or Sheets as a template and generate the related type of file
To access your Google Sheets and perform all the basic options from Publigo (writing in your spreadsheet)
Google Forms access:
To retrieve answers from your Google Forms and fill your template with those answers
Send emails:
To let you send emails with the files as attachment to recipients from your spreadsheet and/or form respondents
External service:
To get access to Firebase, the real-time database from Google
Allow this application to run when you are not present
To generate your files on Google Form submission through triggers
Data Storage
Publigo stores these user and usage data in the Google Cloud Platform:
We store:
User Identification
▸Gmail address and username.
- To identify you as a Publigo user.
Mailing document / Email
▸Subject lines of your emails.
▸Mail draft content and format.
Files and their content
▸Identifiers of your Google Sheets file that contains your campaign sheet (spreadsheet & worksheet IDs).
▸Name of your worksheet.
- We don't make any copies of your spreadsheet data or store information on your recipients (email addresses, names, phone numbers etc.) on any database. Your campaign sheet data stays in your Google Sheets that solely belong to you.
Subscription data
▸Current plan details (Premium Individual or type of licenses).
▸Transaction handler (Paypal and Stripe subscription & transaction IDs).
▸The registered subscriber name of the person or organization.
- Publigo uses Paypal and Stripe as its secure & trusted payment gateway.
Publigo Sidebar (User Interface) Input
▸Saved campaign settings: Sender Name, Recipient column, ...
▸Email addresses of your recipients.
Data protection mechanisms for sensitive data
We store the minimum data with Publigo.
The data we store is all on a Firebase Realtime Database, which enables us to comply with the highest security standards.
Firebase is a Google Cloud Platform product that enables us to communicate securely and without account with a database.
Firebase is also an encrypted database that guarantees data security.
Access to data is restricted to Publigo staff, who are committed to guaranteeing the confidentiality of user data.
Retention time
We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is subject to occasional revision, and we reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy relating to Publigo at any time, effective upon posting of an updated version of this Privacy Policy.
