The HERO 2 sensor is the successor to the popular and industry changing HERO sensor. HERO 2 builds upon the HERO architecture to continue making wireless gaming vastly superior to wired. 

HERO 2 sensor has sub micron precision, insanely high 500+ IPS and up to 32k DPI. Dynamic Spot Edge Detection is a unique dual array design to increase working range to maintain tracking performance even when lifting or tilting the mouse. HERO 2 also introduces new G HUB features giving you more control and configuration than ever before to one of the most important parts of your setup.

When using a mouse equipped with HERO 2 sensor in G HUB, you can set more precise increments of DPI for both X and Y axis, determine preferred lift off distance for an individual's style of lifting or tilting, or allow for better tracking with various mouse feet heights. You can copy the sensitivity feel of your old mouse to make sure you keep that same sensitivity feeling you're used to. You can also use the sensitivity page in G HUB to upgrade your compatible mouse to operate at higher report rates like 2Khz and 4Khz

One of the hardest parts of getting a new mouse is the “breaking in” period. You always have to get used to new gear, but mice are arguably the most important input device you have. To make getting a new mouse a bit easier, we built a super cool feature that allows you to copy the sensitivity of your old mouse and apply it to the new HERO 2 equipped mouse. This allows you to get as close as possible to the sensitivity of your old mouse. This works with non-Logitech G mice as well (shame on you) and you can make as many calibrations as you want.
