We are proud to launch our updated methodology, Project Frame Methodology: Evaluating GHG Impact for Early Stage Investments! 🎉 An evolution of our 2023 guidance, Pre-Investment Considerations, this update takes us a step further by refining the original guidance based on community feedback,  embedding optional adjustment factors, and providing guidance for assessing realized impact and reporting.    This release also invites you to take your learnings further with our additional resources. These supplemental readings—designed to complement each section of our methodology—expand upon the guidance to explain the why and how behind essential steps, such as defining scopes of analysis, and exploring complementary frameworks, like life cycle assessments. This science-backed and consensus-based guidance is the result of 22 months of work, involving more than 31 Content Working Group Members, 36 focus group participants, and three external reviewers. While some climate solutions directly impact emissions, others enable emissions avoidance or reduction, like the commercial and industrial solar planning software we explore in our new case study. Inspired by a real investment, this case study showcases how Frame’s methodology can be applied to quantify a climate solution’s potential impact as one contributor within a value chain. We dive into assumptions like future grid emissions, based on IEA scenarios, and Frame’s recently coined "adjustment factors," including value chain attribution and rebound effects.
