As we continue to celebrate and honor Native American Heritage Month, our Pindigenous Pinclusion group is spotlighting one of our members. Meet Chris Bunting, Manager II Engineering. “To celebrate NAHM, I've been taking time to discover and appreciate the Indigenous culture and heritage of the tribal land I live and work on, focusing on bettering myself as an ally to those native to the land.
One tradition that holds special meaning for me is the practice of connecting with nature and the land. It influences my daily life by reminding me to appreciate the beauty and significance of the natural world and to strive to live in harmony with it while respecting those who were here before me. Whether I’m out on a walk through the mountains and hills once graced by the Coastal Miwok, or near El Polín Spring where the Ramaytush Ohlone people collected water from, I strive to respect the land I walk on, and show reverence spiritual aspect of earth’s living creatures.”
