How do you navigate an industry that wasn’t built for you? When Fawn Weaver entered the whiskey industry, she realized it was still a “boys’ club.” Her calls weren’t returned, until her husband made the same calls and got immediate responses. Fawn didn’t waste energy on frustration. Instead, she adapted: “I said, OK, this is how they play the game. No problem. Let me play by their rules.” She took on the title of “chief historian” instead of "CEO & Founder" and focused on building her vision. Her advice? Know the game, play it strategically, and keep your eyes on the prize. 💡 What strategies have helped you overcome barriers in your career? Share your thoughts below!💡

From Untold Story to Billion-Dollar Brand Fawn Weaver, Founder and CEO of Uncle Nearest, Inc., didn’t just create a whiskey—she shook up an entire industry. In a space long dominated by legacy brands and limited perspectives, Fawn uncovered the untold story of Nearest Green, the first African American master distiller, and transformed it into the fastest-growing whiskey brand in the U.S. How did she do it? By trusting her instincts, breaking traditional marketing rules, and staying laser-focused on a legacy far bigger than herself.
