I would like to thank colleagues at Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the kind invitation to participate in the below mentioned joint retreat for the transport sector. There is no substitute for face to face meetings which enable us to exchange ideas and develop rapport and understanding in real time. I hope to leverage the contact to enable greater cooperation with our group IFC Public-Private Partnerships with the ultimate goal of better delivery for our common client/shareholder countries and their citizens. Let me close by repeating what I said in the meeting on the second day: I salute you for the especially impressive work that your transport group is doing in Papua New Guinea. After learning about some of the details in the meeting, I could scarcely contain my admiration. I will continue to follow those projects closely ! Best wishes !
