“Reframe how I think about X” has become a really impactful new use of ChatGPT for me that I think is worth trying. We all get stuck in thinking patterns, and I’ve found ChatGPT—voice or chat—to be great at unsticking me, and getting me to see things from a new and more positive perspective. For example, a few weeks ago I was feeling anxious about presenting to a large group of people. (I present a lot but still get anxious—and excited—before many presentations.) I had a conversation with ChatGPT about it the night before, and it suggested reframing my perspective, pointing out that people were there to LEARN from my presentation, not JUDGE my performance. Through a series of reframes, it really did change my perspective in a positive way, and I’ve since tried this in other situations and had great success. Try it and let me know what you think!

Want to try something fun with ChatGPT? With GPT-4o, ask it: "based on what you know about me, draw me a picture of what you think my current life looks like." Mine is below. Things I love: (1) I clearly ask ChatGPT a lot of math/physics/science stuff; (2) It remembers I have a daughter from a conversation she and I had together with ChatGPT; (3) It hallucinated a cat for me! I would have 7 cats if I could, but Elizabeth is allergic... so this must be my subconscious manifesting in my ChatGPT prompts. What does yours look like? Try it and post it in the comments below!

This is my 89-year-old grandfather using ChatGPT's voice feature. This is true disruption. When the internet was invented, it was revolutionary but not inclusive. The language of the internet was English, leaving people in Pakistan and countless other places behind. Entire generations missed out on the knowledge, growth, and opportunities that the digital age could have offered them. But now, this is real disruption. AI is now rewriting the rules, allowing people—regardless of age or language—to access the same knowledge and resources as someone sitting in Silicon Valley. My grandfather, speaking his own language, can tap into an abundance of knowledge; bridging a gap that felt impossible just years ago. It’s a powerful shift. Knowledge has no borders, and for the first time, technology is truly for everyone. One of the best times to be alive!
