Where you should be using testimonials to boost conversion?
Most people when they think of testimonials for their website immediately think about the sales page. But their are many other places where showing testimonials will boost conversion.
The very first conversion on your website is getting your visitors attention. You want them to go from I just arrived here to, I am going to stay here and continue reading. This is where having testimonials on your homepage can help to build an initial trust factor that is needed to not bounce off the page.
So your homepage is the very first page you should be adding testimonials.
Apart from the home page there are many other places where showing testimonials will boost conversion:
- Close to the Sign Up Button
- Landing Pages (again testimonials reinforce credibility of your expertise in the industry)
- Hire you or Sign Up for a Free Trial
- Webinars Sign Up Page and Webinar Replay Pages (use on the sign up page to get people to join)
- Sales Pages (highlight specific features for example customer support or overall product/service)
- Email (webinar replay invitation, the download link for your opt in offer, or any reminders of closing offer)
You should have a library of testimonials and add relevant tags so finding that right one and adding it to the correct page will be easy
Now that you know what steps are required to where you should be using your testimonials, hopefully it's inspired you to get out there and place them accordingly.
You never know, your testimonial may start that conversation with your next investor or business partner; it may get you noticed by others in your company or industry and help enhance your reputation as a business owner. But most of all, it may simply help others.
Would love to hear your thoughts. What was the one thing you have learned from this article? And how will you apply that within your business moving forward?
