🎙️ Tune in…The Podcast Revolution
These days it seems like everyone wants to be an “influencer”. The significant rise in new podcasts in the last few years is not only shocking, but it indicates to me that people want to be heard no matter what it is they have to say….
One of the easiest ways to get our message out there is to start a podcast. Heck, your neighbor's cat has a podcast, your grandma's book club has a podcast, and I bet you too probably have a podcast.
But what's the real deal with podcasts? Why are they suddenly becoming so popular among Entrepreneurs and business owners like us?
First of all, let's talk about the benefits…
Podcasts are a FANTASTIC way to build your brand, reach new audiences, and establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry.
By creating content that's valuable, informative, and engaging, you can attract a loyal following of listeners who are eager to hear what you have to say.
But perhaps an even bigger benefit of podcasts is their potential to help you make more money and supercharge the growth of your business.
Because guess what happens when you create a loyal audience of listeners who fully trust and respect you?
You can leverage that relationship to promote your products, services, or even other people's products and services that you believe in.
And since podcast listeners are HIGHLY engaged and interested in the topics they listen to, they are more likely to take action on your recommendations.
But that’s not all podcasts do…
Podcasts also provide a unique opportunity to connect with industry experts.
When inviting guests onto your show (or being a guest on someone else's), you can network and form valuable relationships that could lead to new partnerships, collaborations, or even business opportunities.
PLUS, hosting a podcast can improve your public speaking skills and help you become more comfortable with effectively presenting and communicating your ideas.
This can be incredibly valuable for pitching to investors, speaking at conferences, or simply leading meetings with your team.
Now, if you’re anything like me, after hearing about all of these amazing benefits your brain might be sparking up creative ideas on starting a podcast yourself or reimagine the one you already have.
Matter of fact, in 2019 right before the pandemic, I took initiative and decided to start a podcast of my own.
I truly loved every minute of it… Connecting, learning, and having great conversations with my featured guests!
I had the pleasure of speaking with a wide range of amazing people, from a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor to an original Shark from CNBC’s hit TV show: Shark Tank.
Here’s a short list of who I’ve interviewed…
🎙️ Harry Friedman (96 y/o Holocaust Survivor)
🎙️ Kevin Harrington (Shark on Shark Tank)
🎙️ Eric Maddox (Hunted Saddam Hussein)
🎙️ Drew Manning (Founder of Fit2Fat2Fit)
🎙️ Blake Cory (Real Estate Superstar)
🎙️ Dr. Mindy Pelz (Bestselling Author)
🎙️ …And so many more!
But the BIG question is, with so many podcasts already out there…
How do you stand out from the crowd and attract quality listeners to your show?
First and foremost, it’s important to choose a specific niche or topic that you're passionate about and that aligns with your business or brand.
This will help you stay motivated and committed to creating new episodes, and it will also ensure that your content is relevant and valuable to your target audience.
Another way to stand out is to infuse your podcast with your own personal style and flair. Be yourself, share your personality and sense of humor, and don't be afraid to take risks and try new things.
And of course, always remember that the quality of your content is absolutely paramount.
Take the time to research and prepare each episode, and aim to provide REAL value to your listeners (not some washed up B.S. that you threw together at the very last minute).
So whether it's actionable tips and advice, thought-provoking discussions, or entertaining interviews, make sure your content is something that your listeners will genuinely enjoy and learn from.
And finally, remember to stay patient and persistent.
Building a loyal following takes time and effort, but if you're consistent and committed, you can create a podcast that not only helps you grow your business but also brings joy and value to your listeners.
At the end of the day, starting a podcast is not just about promoting your business or brand, but also about connecting with your audience and providing them with invaluable content.
Always keep your listeners at the forefront of your mind and strive to deliver content that they will find engaging and informative.
And who knows? Your podcast might just be the inspiration that someone needs to start their own business or pursue their passion…
To your success,
David
