In 2015, the leading 500 retailers in Asia-Pacific had sales of US$ 964 billion, a decline of 5% due to the strong dollar. The rise of the Chinese retail market has led to Chinese companies dominating the list, accounting for 33% of the ranking.
Interestingly, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam were the only countries to see all of their ranked retailers grow in 2015 and these countries are expected to be in the top fastest growing Asian countries up to 2020.
