HOLIDAYS

HOLIDAYS

When you market your book, holidays matter. Marketing a book is like marketing a product; you have to be aware of related holidays and their impact on your target audience.

You must continue to stay apprised of the marketplace for holiday opportunities that will both raise the visibility of your products and services and that won't, in turn, erode your overall pricing strategy.

WHY?

Holidays can become a factor for those who are purchasing your book.

Whether you publish traditionally or self-publish, a holiday exercise is important to go through so you can determine which holidays, traditional ones and others, will catch the attention of your buyers and consumers.

WHAT IT AFFECTS

Holidays affect how you will catch the attention of your target audience with your book.

If you know a certain holiday is directly related to your book, releasing it on that day or celebrating a book launch party that in turn celebrates that holiday can elevate the visibility of you and your book.

If you don't pay attention to holidays, you may compromise your opportunity to leverage your audience's natural attention to these with your book.

HOW TO REACH THE READERS

Understand your holiday schedule, from national holidays down to commercial holidays that have been instilled in society.

Holidays are all about the right timing to attract and capture your audience's attention.

It's hard enough these days to cut through the noise of other products promoted during these times.

Take advantage of opportunities in the marketplace to associate your book with the wave of attention paid to holidays throughout the year so you can leverage these.

1-MINUTE MARKETING TIP - HOLIDAYS

What's happening in the world or on the calendar that relates to your book or project?

Take the time to write down any and all holidays related to your project.

Note these dates or occasions so you can plan your marketing accordingly.

Consider when buyers can purchase your book for themselves and or as a gift for someone else.

Everything from different opportunities based on the holiday calendar that offer you ways to manipulate the price with promo codes for certain audiences to when yours can be given as a gift to others can help you move more books without coming up empty-handed.

Plan to sell a lot this season with this holiday tip!
