‘Hybrid’ Euroleague Basketball financial rules backed to create ‘circular system’
Euroleague Basketball’s groundbreaking new financial sustainability regulations, which will tie player salaries to clubs’ business performance, will create a “circular system” that will improve the league’s competitive balance, according to Chief Financial Officer Xavi Puyada.
Global Sustainable Sport (GSS) has launched three exciting initiatives, building on the successful GSSport24 Summer Workshop Series and helping sports organisations and stakeholders on the next phase of their sustainability journey.
The GSS Network Alliance, GSS Education Programme and GSSport24 Winter Workshop Programme will accelerate momentum after the Summer Workshop Series engaged more than 350 participants from 61 nations.
In June and July, seven free-to-attend workshops attracted representatives from every sports industry sector, from global brands and international federations to grassroots organisations. More than 50 expert speakers shared their knowledge, and recordings of all 19 workshop sessions are available in the GSS website's GSSport24 section. More information is available here.
