A Borescopes White Balance

When available light becomes too warm or cool or comes from sources with different color temperatures you should consider using a different white balance mode on your #borescope. The white balance setting is used to make the colors in a digital photograph or video recordings in your #rvi #borescope #inspection look natural under a variety of lighting conditions.

Why is white balance important?

Obtaining natural-looking color on captured & recorded industrial image #borescoped surfaces is very important because it might be impossible to edit later (especially if the #borescope image was shot in a lossy format like JPEG. The function that corrects these color issues is the digital camera's "white balance." Essentially, the white balance adjusts #borescope images to make white subjects look white in the final product. By making good use of white balance, you'll be able to manipulate the tone of your #borescope pictures at will.

White balancing a #borescopes camera image can accurately reflect the color condition of the subject being inspected. For example, our #DELLON Touchscreen GX systems provide pre-set functions such as Automatic, Daylight, Cloudy, and Incandescent (as shown below). By entering the systems sub-menu "White Balance" we are able, to edit the parameters required before capturing and recording the subject.

This all points back to when available light becomes too warm or cool or comes from sources with different color temperatures you should consider using a different white balance mode on your #borescope.
