I like to think of POV mode like taking your audience on a rollercoaster ride. Another advantage of this mode is to shoot "freestyle". Just follow your instincts and see what happens, swooping, diving, rollin and so on as you move through your environment. Then you can choose the best bits later.

POV mode is an awesome gimbal filming mode that allows you to capture scenes in an extremely unique way. In the POV mode, the three axes are in the follow state. So the camera lens can follow the gimbal handle to move and rotate at any angle. Some cool gimbal moves will almost always use the POV mode, which can be used to shoot really dynamic scenes.

I tend not to use sport mode, because if I want to react faster to the action, I find simply holding the camera in my hand works best. Especially with smartphones.

About 90% of the time I shoot handheld. Some may think this would lead to shaky footage and thus a low production value. They would be correct if I didn't have the right technique. Keys to handheld success include but are not limited to having 3 points of contact on the camera, weighing down the camera (making it heavier with external monitors/ batteries), and being light on your feet taking small steps what some refer to as a "ninja walk". The reason why I prefer handheld is it allows me more freedom to move and follow a subject. It also creates a more natural feel and can be used to illustrate emotion.
