Addressing Mental Stigmas & Issues With Policybazaar

It is said that "The toughest rocks are never broken by storms" but the ground reality is different. With time and circumstances, tough rocks develop cracks, through which tendrils of light and weaknesses seep in. 

To address this reality, Policybazaar.com launched a new campaign showcasing a Kargil hero battling depression. The opening lines of the film are very impactful and profound. A medal is an ordinary coin if you buy it from the market, but its value increases exponentially if you win it by the dint of your hard work and persistence.

In life, we face various challenges, both internal and external. Internal challenges are particularly daunting and often overlooked due to factors like self-doubt, difficulty in expressing oneself, and fear of judgements. 

Major General Vikram Dhingra has faced many challenges in life but depression was the biggest challenge as it was a personal challenge. The commendable part of his journey is that he faces it without any prejudices, overcomes it and wins the toughest race in the Ironman Triathlon at the age of sixty. 

The outstanding part of the campaign is its subtle treatment of the officer's struggles. It motivates and encourages us to face our internal challenges tête-à-tête. It also underscores the tender side of tough individuals and reminds us that even the strongest people can falter under pressure and difficult circumstances.
