Recently, our interns had a session to practice this through two fun yet insightful activities: 1️⃣ Birthday Queue Challenge: Without speaking a word, they formed a queue in ascending order of their birthdays. I recently concluded my internship at Rollz International, and what an enriching journey it has been! 💫 Project Highlights 🔍 A significant highlight was conducting a comprehensive Market Research Project aimed at Strategic Planning in Product Development and Market Penetration. This project allowed me to apply the knowledge from my European Studies programme in a real-world setting, transforming theoretical insights into practical, impactful strategies. One invaluable skill I picked up at Rollz, which wasn't covered at my university, was writing a white paper – a challenging yet incredibly rewarding experience. Hands-On Experience 💼 Throughout my internship, I engaged in a variety of tasks that significantly contributed to my professional growth. From assisting with social media postings to handling diverse marketing-related tasks, I gained hands-on experience that broadened my skill set. European Dimension 🌍 The European dimension of Rollz International was particularly enlightening. Working within a multicultural team and navigating diverse international markets provided me with deep insights into global business operations and cross-cultural communication. On the 31st of October at InternPulse we had Blessing Adaugo 🦅 -a professional executive virtual assistant, come teach us/talk to us on the topic; Why waiting won't work: How proactivity can launch your career. It was a really insightful class and I enjoyed every bit of It. She shared her story about how she was able to scale through to become a proactive, exceptional and sort after virtual assistant, despite all the challenges that presented themselves. These are several nuggets she shared/addressed that got my attention: 📝"Motherhood & being a wife was not an excuse for me". 📝 Be proactive and be part of a supportive community who encourage & push each other to be better. 📝 Take initiatives by finding out the top in-demand skills for V.As and upskill to keep yourself relevant. 📝 Don't let your friends hold you back just because they have gotten comfortable with their current pay/position. Always become a better version of yourself. 📝 Learn to network with others in your field and share opportunities with them too. I love how very jovial and cheerful Blessing Adaugo 🦅 was, we found ourselves laughing at intervals while she spoke. NextGen Hustle Program: A Grand Business Opportunity by ITQON Group. Last Saturday, we had an amazing session at the NextGen Hustle Program, organized as part of Itqon Group’s Nationwide BOP (Business Opportunity Program). The main purpose? To recruit more young blood into the takaful industry and show them just how rewarding this career can be. The energy in the room was insane! Everyone came with their own candidates, ready to share their personal journeys in the takaful industry, and give them a real look into what it’s all about. This wasn’t just any ordinary recruitment event—it was about inspiring the next generation to step up and grab the opportunities that are right in front of them. Now, here’s the best part for me personally. I managed to get my brother to come along as one of the candidates (okay, fine, maybe I pestered him a bit!). He’s currently doing his internship at an engineering company in Melaka and has one more semester before he graduates. And let me tell you, he’s a real smarty pants—not once has he missed making the Dean’s List. I’m super proud of him, but the real reason I dragged him to this event? He’s money-driven. Always has been. And I just know that this business is going to suit him perfectly. So yeah, this event wasn’t just about the industry—it was about bringing people together, sharing real opportunities, and maybe even changing some lives along the way.
