Google Cloud’s Vertex AI gets new grounding options https://lnkd.in/gfTxqiYr Google Cloud is introducing a new set of grounding options that will further enable enterprises to reduce hallucinations across their generative AI-based applications and agents. The large language models (LLMs) that underpin these generative AI-based applications and agents may start producing faulty output or responses as they grow in complexity. These faulty outputs are termed as hallucinations as the output is not grounded in the input data. To read this article in full, please click here

Aren’t RAG & Grounding are formidable arsenal, until they aren’t ! Making Gen AI deployable in production and how to carry out grounding with Gemini Sudio and Vertex AI !
https://lnkd.in/gwCBy-SK Gen AI and all that wordplay!!!! Now we need Grounding to avoid hallucinations? Having posted a comment in response to my Colleague Satya Govindu recap of his visit to Vegas for Google Cloud Next event, I couldn't resist turning that comment into a post. After all it is about my own language model, henceforth called KLM(Kannan Language Model) against the LLM of Gemini and their attempt to root us to reality.. So here goes Google Grounding- As interpreted by Kannan Language Model: "I cant but wonder how best to interpret the analogy - Is Google "Earth" the Ground "Zero" as in electrical context and the mother of all knowledge as the true base to the potential difference in AI? Or is it another hype in AI that will bring us all down to the ground reality?🤔😀. Time will tell till then I stay "Grounded".

Scale your AI, not your costs: We've improved Gemini 1.5 Flash to reduce the input costs by up to ~85% and output costs by up to ~80%, starting August 12th, 2024. This, coupled with capabilities like context caching can significantly reduce the cost and latency of your long context queries. Using Batch API instead of standard requests can further optimize costs for latency intensive tasks. With these advantages combined, you can handle massive workloads and take advantage of our 1 million token context window.
