Connecting Databricks’ DBRX LLM to a Power BI report ? The semantic lakehouse of Power BI combined with Databricks SQL already provide great visual analysis for thousands of customers, but in this blog/video, we’ll be going one step further and bringing Databricks’ new open LLM, DBRX, directly into Power BI on top of our report. Big thanks to Kyle Hale for this amazing tutorial Tutorial : https://lnkd.in/exjZGzRd #Databricks

💡Here is another good reason to go for #UnityCatalog in Databricks if you aren’t using it yet! 👉🏼When using Power BI with Unity Catalog, you automatically get all column descriptions and constraints set visible in #PowerBI 👌 📣 Contact us at element61 to help you get started with it! As Databricks & Microsoft partner we got you covered with #expertise and #experience!
👀 When you use the "Publish to Power BI" feature in Databricks to publish a schema/database in Unity Catalog to a Semantic model in the Power BI service, did you know that: 1. All the relationships are automatically populated in the Semantic Model from Primary and Foreign Key constraints. 💪 2. All of the table and column description in Unity are automatically populated in the table and column description in the Semantic Model 🔥

🎉 Excited to share that I’ve completed the "DAX Functions in Power BI" course! 🎉 DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) is such a powerful tool for data modeling and analysis. I learned how to use functions like CALCULATE() to modify filter contexts and RELATED() to fetch data from related tables, making complex data transformations so much simpler. This course deepened my understanding of creating calculated columns, measures, and tables, and I can’t wait to apply these skills to real-world projects. 💡 #PowerBI #DAX #DataAnalytics #LearningJourney #DataModeling

I'm happy to share with you that I've just completed DAX Tools video course on SQLBI Platform. This course discussed the different tools used for analyzing the modules’ performance in terms of DAX query complexity, running time consumed, data size of each object, etc. in addition to, formatting your codes, and recommending the queries you need. Technically, it covered the DAX Studio tool and how to use it and get the best performance from it; VertiPaq Analyzer, which analyses the metrics file generated by DAX Studio in an Excel PowerPivot file, and eventually, adding the Analyze in Excel feature to PowerBI Desktop as an external tool and its limitations. #DAX #DAX_Queries #DMX #DAX_Studio #VertiPaq_Analyzer #Analyze_in_Excel

In this short blog post, I delve into the use of some of INFO.xxx DAX functions for documenting Power BI Semantic Models. By leveraging these functions, I can gather crucial information about tables, columns, relationships, measures, calculation dependencies, and refresh policies directly from the model. Storing these insights in Fabric Lakehouse ensures my documentation remains up-to-date to adapt to any changes in the semantic model. I hope this helps make documenting Power BI Semantic Models both effective and enjoyable. #powerbi #infodax #documentation

I highly recommend this course for a great introduction to DAX, either if you are new or rusty in Power BI. Brick by Brick motivation for Germain Biyao, Adolphe Wanga, Brittney Boland, Noah Sieff, and Dr. Travis Goodson 📈 📉 📊 💪
