The world can be a stressful place, and so a lot of people suffer from stress-related health problems like burnout. There are many kinds of therapies that try to remedy these problems, but there are only a few that focus on the thing that can help us the most, according to Glimp: our breathing. That is why Glimp co-founders Jefta Vriend and Erwin Rietveld developed a method to make breathing exercises easier. Customers can hold the pebbles they developed in their hands and are guided through the exercises by the vibrations. Earthing. It’s something that humans (mostly western culture) don’t do anymore and I think it’s so important. We may be living longer, but I’m not convinced better. “Earthing (also known as grounding) refers to the discovery that bodily contact with the Earth's natural electric charge stabilizes the physiology at the deepest levels, reduces inflammation, pain, and stress, improves blood flow, energy, and sleep, and generates greater well-being.” This is how I’m spending my day. #startups #founders #entrepreneurship

Neglect your health and watch your startup fall to pieces. Part of the start-up journey is evolving your role as your business evolves. Being of healthy mind & body is key for this. A bottle neck during my last start-up, RealSport, was my own personal blockers. So during Connectd, I’ve: 🧖 Started to track my recovery and sleep quality using my WHOOP 🧘🏻 Meditate before bed and upon waking up 🚶 Actively go for walks throughout the day ⌚ Practise intermittent fasting periodically 🏋🏻 Start my gym sessions at 6am, getting 4 sessions in a week. Adding these daily habits has helped manage my stress (and hopefully increase my life expectancy 😂) I feel like I’m in the best mental shape I’ve ever been in. Focus on maintaining yourself, physically and mentally - you won’t regret it. #ManagingStress #Founders #Startups

🚀 From Grief to Growth: A Caregiver's Moonshot 🌟 https://lnkd.in/enEQCm2j It’s been less than a year since I lost my father, James Elton Weathers—a man who taught me the value of showing up, no matter how hard life got. As I walked beside him during his fight with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), I began building something unexpected: a portfolio of domains—over 600 to be exact. In the darkest moments, from caregiving to grieving, I found a way to cope. Each domain I bought was more than just a piece of digital real estate; it was a lifeline, a small moonshot toward a future filled with hope, resilience, and growth. Now, through OKR Ventures LLC, I’m sharing that journey with the world. Our domains, like Moonshot.dad, DaddysGirl.ai, EndESRD.com, and Griev.ing, are more than assets—they are tools for startups, investors, and visionaries to build the future of caregiving, mental health support, and wellness technologies. Yes, it's been a rough road for many years. My parents moved in with me in 2015. I lost jobs, friends, support, and money. I also pushed some of that away during this journey. But I gained something far greater—strength, clarity, and a mission to create something impactful from my experience. Why OKR Ventures? Our portfolio was built out of lived experience fueled by the belief that caregiving innovation is essential. From 27545.ai to heroangels.org, these domains represent opportunities to lead, disrupt, and transform industries. Are you a dream chaser, investor, and visionary? We’re actively seeking partners who see the untapped potential in caregiving and wellness technology. If you’re an investor, researcher, creative guru, entrepreneur, or funder, let’s connect. The future of caregiving isn’t just about technology—it’s about showing up, supporting one another, and turning grief into growth. This isn’t business as usual. It’s a moonshot—one that my father’s legacy has inspired me to take. Join us on this journey. Together, we can redefine what it means to care, grieve, and grow. #MoonshotDad #CaregivingInnovation #OKRVentures #MentalHealth #WellnessTech #arpah

🏔️🎿 Accidental Lessons from the Slopes 🩼 Three months ago, I had a bit of a skiing accident that turned into a surprising journey of enlightenment. Since then, I've had a lot of time (and immobility) to reflect. There are many comparisons with life in a startup! Here are a few revelations from the sidelines: Slow and Steady... Eventually: Just like a startup, my recovery progress is slower than anticipated. Both involve a lot of "are we there yet?" moments and the realization that progress is progress, no matter the pace. Patience is a Virtue (I Don't Have): I've discovered my patience level is inversely proportional to my desire for instant results. Waiting to ditch the wheelchair & crutches is like waiting for a new product feature, it’s a test of zen-like patience. Spoiler: I’m failing. Relying on Experts: Much like in the startup world, where you lean on advisors and specialists, I've had to rely on doctors, surgeons, physiotherapists, and very patient friends & family. Turns out, giving over control isn't easy, but it's necessary. Control is an Illusion: In both startups and recovery, control is an illusion. You can plan meticulously, but ultimately, you have to adapt and roll with the punches. The Power of Community: Just as networking and community support are vital in the start up world, I've been incredibly grateful for friends, family, and colleagues who've stepped up to help (and laugh with and at me) along the way. So, here’s to embracing the unexpected lessons and the slower journeys, both on the mountain and in the startup world. Looking forward to getting back on my feet — one slow step at a time. #StartupLife #SkiingAccident #RecoveryMode #PatienceIsAVirtue

Set these reminders daily. These are reminders for your health. • You are enough as you are. • Focus on what you can control. • Your emotions do not define you. • Be where your feet are, not where the mind is. • Growth is not a linear process, and that's okay. • What is personal is universal, and you are not alone. • You have got through 100% of your hardest moments. • Focus on the moment you're in, not the moments to come. • Do something to nourish your mind, body, and soul each day. • You are the most important relationship you have. Be kind to yourself. • Emotions are neither good nor bad; they are merely sources of information. #motivation #innovation #management #humanresource #future #startups #veteran

Building a startup is easy, right? You just need to... 📍Lose sleep and question your sanity 📍 Convince others your crazy idea isn't crazy 📍Become a jack of all trades 📍Face rejection, pivot, repeat 📍And somehow, magically, make it work But seriously, building a startup is ridiculously hard. It's chaotic and unpredictable, but it's worth it. At @iLIVEdigitalhealth I've learnt that firsthand. And I'm still so determined to breakdown health barriers, make a difference, and empower you to own your health. So, if you're a fellow startup founder, I see you. I feel your pain, your joy, and your exhaustion. Let's continue to bet on ourselves, and build amazing things! P.S. What keeps you going on the toughest days? #startupfounders #innovation
