To the Pakistani companies and HR professionals: it’s time to elevate your hiring standards. Offering a managerial position requiring 5+ years of experience and a Master’s degree with a salary of 120,000 PKR is simply not competitive. Align salaries with the economic landscape of Pakistan and the capabilities of your candidates. Instead of token benefits like tea, PF, and medical insurance, focus on fair compensation. Base your decisions on merit, not on factors like caste, color, creed, gender, or age. Furthermore, it’s essential to recognize that a 25-year-old can effectively manage a team of individuals older than themselves, given the right skills and capabilities. Age should never be a barrier to talent and leadership potential. Remember, skills transcend age. Let’s think twice before undervaluing talent. #hr #pakistan #pakistanicompanies #job #jobopportunity Abeer Azhar - CHRP Mohsin Jamal
Why are these employees always nagging about money? Isn't it enough that we provide pizza every Friday and tea every single day?
I've been raising this issue for a while now, urging HR to avoid accepting lower salaries, but it seems like my concerns are falling on deaf ears. Despite my efforts, everyone continues to accept less pay without heeding my warnings.
Many employers offer 50-60k for managerial role like in healthcare
While you are mostly right, just for your future reference PF is a legal right and medical insurance for self and family is a genuine benefit specially if the coverage is right
Rest alright but 25 isn't the age for a managerial position. Ideally 28 should be the minimum age for managing others. Yes, you can be a senior dev or SQA at 25 but managing requires different skillset and maturity.
Companies consider the inflation factor during bidding but forget to do so with the salary payments. Chaye pe tarkha dete hain
Oh yes..asking for qualified person and offering competitive salary like 120,000/- PKR is not just enough...it should be over 200K at least .
Companies are not even considering this an issue, if they lose an employee they hire a new employee a fresher and wheel continues to rotate in the same order.

9moI'd slightly disagree with you on 25yo can effectively manage a team of older individuals. This could be ideal. But it's not very practical, specially to our culture and environment. I have seen several examples, where a much younger "bright and talented" individual was made a team lead of older individuals. Nearly all such settings failed. Its often difficult for those older guys to accept that. Egos come to play. Secondly, maturity comes with age. When it comes to lead people, you need to be superior not just technically, but with a lots of those soft skills that comes usually through experience. I have also seen in one of such settings that the young man lost his track. The people got into politics and resulted in loss to the individuals on both sides.
