Our first game, Blooming Business: Casino, celebrates its first anniversary today! It's been quite a ride and we are very happy with all the improvement we made to the game. We wanted to share a few words about the studio projects and current state! Blooming Business: Casino update It has been a challenging year as for most of our fellow #indiedevs (and non indie) devs. The game reception and sales have not been where we want it to be. We had a slow launch for a lot of reasons. We tried to manage with the game industry calendar, Steam store sales considerations and our own financial situation. After a mostly positive review score on Steam, we have suffered from a mixed score since then. Having slow sales reception and a mixed review score on Steam had a huge impact on the game visibility and what we can do to support the game. Seeing mixed reviews can be alarming and prevent potential interested players from giving a chance (buying) to our game. We’ve tried from the beginning to respond to the community feedback by working on the game and patching the game 7 times since the release!! We’ve managed to practically come back to a positive review score, but we’re still lacking a few. While it’s more difficult for us to extensively support Blooming Business: Casino for obvious reasons, we are still committed to enrich and improve the game whenever we reasonably can. We’re now our own publisher We’ve launched the game with the support of Curve Games who has helped us through the last year of development, through the financing, the development and marketing effort to make this game exist to the world. Curve Games has stopped supporting the game for months now. But we still supported it and with the change of publisher we’re happy to finally be able to bring new updates, fixes, and improvements to the game. We will do our best to continue to improve the game and fix potential new feedback, but with a little less regularity.
