I firmly believe that low dose THC beverages are not a cannabis alternative, but an adult beverage alternative 🥃 This is a historical moment for the plant, and we all have an opportunity to normalize and bring its magic to a much larger audience 🎉 This, in turn, will be better for the regulated market as a whole. What do you think? Let's keep the conversation going 🧠 Links to my articles mentioned in the video: Low Dose Beverages Will Pave the Way for Legalization: https://lnkd.in/gZAa_Uzu Licensed Cannabis Operators: Let Low-Dose Beverages Go In Order to Grow: https://lnkd.in/gpF_kJSV Top Ten Liquors source: https://lnkd.in/g84P88x3 #infusedinsights #cannabisindustry #drinkcannabis #hempindustry

April Rubin could you please try a little harder to not gaslight? Give me a break. Please check your incendiary word count, we’re nearing wild fire season. Look, this was not a mistake, or unintentional, or cluelessness. These beverages are not “laced” with thc as if this is some back alley shady dealing… can you be any more antiquated? Is there pcp in the can as well?? This non-alcoholic beverage segment is the fastest growing beverage segment across all. Consumers are becoming more informed and aware of the alternative beverage category, and guess what? They are making adult decisions to consume the beverage. Why?? Go ask them. The regulated thc infused hemp beverage market is asking to be regulated like alcohol. Reasonable regulations that account for transparency, and ultimately consumer safety, are welcome. Low dosing meaning up to 10mg is demonstrating to be a reasonable point of entry for non-traditional cannabinoid consumers. It’s not a war. This is not a fight it out and beat each other into submission. This is a grownups game and as such reasonable minds can figure it out. Are there passionate voices with different perspectives? Duh. So what? This is America. This article, along with Eric Postow, Esq.'s remarks, casts a much-needed spotlight on the challenges in the hemp beverage and cannabis industry. The language and terminology we employ to communicate are crucial, and it is time to hold individuals accountable for using language that lacks precision. #Cannabis #CannabisLaw #MJLaw #HLPCannabis #hempbeverages

The THC infused hemp beverage space is fast evolving and certainly not immune from political challenges. However, the regulated industry stakeholders who make up this in demand category also want reasonable regulations. Holon's Eric Postow, Esq. stirred things up recently with his take on a recent article addressing the ways in which the industry is described in media. US multinational companies have been trying for a long time to find an alternative to alcohol. Alcoholic beer has been struggling in the US especially since the pandemic. And by solving that, they make beer from marijuana leaves. Multinational company Heineken emphasizes cannabis-infused beverages rather than alcohol in its beers, even though they produced the beers in the aftermath of the pandemic and helped revive the faltering beer industry in the U.S. at the time. Because this beer is zero alcohol. Instead of alcohol, beer-like beverages are made with THC (Tetra Hydro Cannabinol), the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Known as Hi-Fi Hops (Hifi Hops Reverb THC Beverage), another US company launched this new cannabis beverage that hints at the potential of this non-alcoholic cannabis beverage. In addition to beverages made with THC, the new "beer" CBD - (CBD means does not cause the "high" that people experience when they smoke marijuana.) Also found there, non-psychoactive cannabis components are thought to have many therapeutic effects. The beer is currently available at a few marijuana dispensaries in California, where marijuana is officially legal. Anyway, even if it is valid there, I don't know if it is valid in our country. #alcohol #wine

𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 Following the legalization of adult-use marijuana in Canada, a noticeable shift occurred within the retail market, particularly impacting beer sales. A study published in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence reveals a "modest [but] economically meaningful" decline in the sales of canned and kegged beer, contrasting with the steady sales of bottled beer and spirits. This trend suggests a significant consumer shift towards legal cannabis, moving away from traditional beer consumption patterns.

As we continue to navigate the complexities of cannabis reform, industry organizations — including the Cannabis Beverage Association, the Hemp Beverage Alliance, and the American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp's Cannabis Beverage Council — must agree upon a unified approach. 🤝 Unity and collaboration are key: With the political landscape varying across markets, it’s vital that we move together, advocating strongly and setting standards that pave the way for a cohesive industry. Standards should aim to ensure safety, consistency, and ease of business across states, advocating for dosages and packaging that make sense for everyone. 💡 We are not just competing within the cannabis space but positioning ourselves alongside mainstream adult beverages, embracing the unique opportunities that THC and CBD-infused drinks offer. This strategic realignment emphasizes our commitment to not only advocate for, but also innovate within, the beverage sector. 🌐 As we embrace these changes, we invite our partners in mainstream distribution and retail to prepare for the integration of these exciting products into the broader market. Educate, engage, and ensure compliance to make the most of the burgeoning cannabis beverage opportunity. Let’s toast to a future where cannabis and hemp beverages are not just alternatives, but standards within the beverage industry! 🥂 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/gUfkiCg5 #CannabisBeverage #HempDrinks #IndustryUnity #BeverageInnovation #CannabisReform #FutureOfCannabis

On May 30, 2024, the CDPH issued a communication warning consumers not to drink, what it termed "illegal," a particular brand’s hemp-infused sodas alleging, among other things, that they were infused with “THC isolate.” The CDPH also stated that “Industrial hemp products are legal in California but are prohibited under state law from containing THC isolates.” While the term THC Isolate is contained in AB45, it is not defined further in the statute or in any regulations. Additionally, we are unable to identify any definition of such term and understand that the cannabinoid THC does not isolate. While the CBA strongly supports regulations that protect consumers by ensuring safe products in the marketplace (at the state and federal levels), it views this communication as unlawful informal interpretive rulemaking and enforcement given the lack of a statutory definition for THC Isolates. We will continue to educate regulators and supporting agencies to create pathways for fair and effective regulation of the infused beverage category.
