When I first saw my CA Inter results and realized that I had cleared my exams, I wasn't happy. Yes, you heard it right. I passed my CA Inter both groups in the first attempt but was expecting to clear it with a rank or a minimum of 550+ marks. However, in reality, I got 466. On that day, I experienced a mix of emotions, sometimes happy and sometimes sad. Here are my few mistakes and useful learnings for you: 1 Starting Late: Until May, I was just going through my regular college routine. I wasn't very serious, just busy in enjoying my college life and preparing for semester exams and college assignments. Learning: Start as early as possible and take your attempt seriously. 2 Mock Tests: I hadn't gave any mock tests except for taxation and law. This proved costly during my 3 hours of exam time, where I felt that if I had given more mock tests, my writing speed and analytical skills in judging the right answers would have become stronger. Learning: Give at least 2 mock test series and evaluate your mistakes. 3 Less Practice: I hadn't solved any RTP, MTP and even skipped some of the tough topics and questions from the ICAI Module. Many of those questions were asked in the exam which I was not able to attempt. Learning: Solve at least the current attempt RTP, MTP, and if you have more time, solve past 2-3 attempts as well. Don't leave out any topic or question from the ICAI Module. 4 Actions: Although my aim was high, the hard work I put in was insufficient to achieve that goal. I went on a 4-day trip 2 months before the exams; I could have easily postponed that. Moreover, whenever I felt like not studying, I would seriously stop studying and take breaks that easily used to extend into long duration. Learning: Take small breaks, but also restrict your mind and don’t let it get diverted. Be determined and always imagine your end goal and its perks whenever you feel demotivated. It will keep you motivated. PS- My Message for all May24 aspirants

Bcs every time they involved in their syllabus and exam preparation. & after exam we all know, where we are busy ,just like (bs ab nind puri karni h 😂 ) Even most of us are using computers and laptops at first time in their articleship period and that time is to difficult to understand everything. And same I knew all these but I did not have a good command over all those software 𝘽𝙐𝙏 𝙉𝙊𝙒 I have started to gain knowledge in those software which is used in daily life of CAs irrespective he is in auditing, taxation,financing, accountancy. soooo, don't waste your time ⌚ start learning new things which will help to enhance your career I'm learning those tech driven skills by Skill91 & CA Monk I have good experience with these, they are giving a depth understanding about each and every topic 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙧 : I am not advertising them from anywhere nor am I a part of these organizations, I am just a 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 😂😂 If you think that I am advertising, then there is no problem. Unearned revenue such as advances received from customers etc. for which we have not provided any goods or services, it will be recognized as liability in the books of accounts. **Second one is what do we mean by Accrued Revenue. Accrued Revenue is the revenue for which we have provided the services , we have accounted for the goods but the customer have not yet paid or we have not raised an invoice or similar explanation. **Third one is what do we mean by Accrued Expenses. We know that cash is not the basis for recording expenses , so there are expenses that we have incurred or there are benefits that we have enjoyed, so we need to account for these expenses on the Accrual concept. **Fourth one is what do you mean by Prepaid expenses. Prepaid expenses are essentially expenses that do not belong to this accounting period. we have paid certain amount in advance and the services that we are going to get or the goods that we are going to get is going to be in the next accounting period which is basically not the current accounting period For instances ; Subscription paid in advance or rent paid in advance so it will be treated as prepaid on the assets side of the balance sheet. 13 of 100 mistakes of my CA Journey: WHAT I DID: ❌Using my phone as soon as I woke up ❌Keeping my phone with me during studies ❌Scrolling through WhatsApp/Facebook when I was bored or needed a break ❌Getting agitated on not seeing any notifications on social media ❌My brain was filled with different thoughts while studying 👉🏼Result: FAIL HOW DID I RECTIFY IT: ✅I didn’t check my phone atleast 2 hours after waking up ✅Kept my phone in a different room on silent ✅I used to see my phone hardly for 5-10 minutes after lunch ✅I didn’t reply to most messages or calls ✅My focus was at its peak during studies 👉🏼 Result: PASS Social media and scrolling phone before studying is a huge distraction, I learnt this the hard way. -A CA who has made all the mistakes so that you don’t 😇 ~ Joy, Love, Faith 💖

🤔आपने कितने Attempt में CA पास किया? This question was asked to me by one of Class 10 students during my session of Career Counseling for ICAI. I have told him that लड़कियों से उनकी उम्र और CA से उनके Attempt कभी नहीं पूछने चाहिए 👈 😉 On a serious note, ICAI does not Discriminate CA based on their Attempts, Job providers do. I have a different perspective of this. As per my personal opinion CA with more than 1 attempt will become more successful and solved in their Life, if they have learned to digest the Failures. ERY IMPORTANT - DON'T MISS TO GIVE YOUR FEEDBACK* ICAI proposes different criteria for entitlement to train articled assistants. One of these is TURNOVER of the firm in addition to the existing criteria. It is not clear whether turnover based criteria will replace the existing criteria or it is in addition to the it. I strongly feel that the turnover criteria is not suitable to decide the number of articled students your firm can train even when it is one of the criteria for 2 reasons- 1. It will substantially reduce the eligibility of new and SME practioners. 2. can create implementation issues since the turnover can be flexible 3. As a freshly qualified CA, I've faced a lot of new challenges and I want to share my experience in case it helps anyone else who's feeling the same. 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝑰 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒅: Each & Every task contains lots of data but I understand very few are important to complete tasks. How time management is important otherwise will Juggle in tasks and deadlines, especially during return filings duration. Constantly questioning how I can do better & feeling hesitant to ask questions. Stretching for long hours Sacrificing personal time and well-being. Felt Pressurized while taking new projects and responsibilities. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅: Break tasks into smaller parts, manageable chunks. Plan ahead and stay organized with lists and reminders. Seek guidance—don’t be afraid to ask for help. Practice self-care and take breaks when needed. Celebrate small wins and believe in yourself! 𝑻𝒐 𝑨𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒖𝒕: You’re not alone.
