Unlocking Insights: Wavecon Telecom's 5G Impact Analysis 📊 We've delved deep into Wavecon Telecom's journey with 5G, uncovering pivotal insights that shape the telecom landscape. Here's a snapshot of our findings: 📈 Revenue Dynamics: While total revenue dipped by 0.5% post-5G, we observed a remarkable 11.05% increase in Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). Ahmedabad emerged as a frontrunner in ARPU growth. 📉 User Trends: Active user base witnessed an 8.28% decline, alongside a significant surge in plan unsubscribes by 23.5%. Lucknow, Jaipur, and Pune topped the list for unsubscribed users, while Mumbai retained a loyal customer base. 🌐 Market Insights: PIO_MS secured the lion's share of the market, with Dadaphone_MS and Others_MS trailing behind. The market landscape continues to evolve, offering strategic opportunities for growth. 📱 Plan Performance: Plan P1 demonstrated revenue growth, particularly thriving in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi. Conversely, Plan P11 stole the spotlight post-5G launch, boasting significant revenue and customer traction in key cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. 🏙️ City Dynamics: City-wise analysis revealed varying performance metrics across regions. Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore emerged as strongholds for revenue generation across multiple plans, while Patna, Coimbatore, and Gurugram faced challenges in user engagement. #codebasicsvirtualinternship

Completed a comprehensive analysis of a telecom company's business and the impact of 5G on its revenue. Here are my observations: - After the 5G launch, the revenue dropped by 0.5%, and the TAU decreased by 8.3%. - However, the ARPU increased by 11.1% to 211.3 INR per user. - Plan p1 remains the top plan with 22% of the total monthly revenue. - Tier 1 cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bangalore combined contribute to more than 55% of every plan. (ARPU-Average Revenue Per User, TAU-Total Active Users) Based on my analysis, here are my recommendations for Wavecon Telecom: - Discontinue plan p7 immediately, as its revenue fell by 77% after the 5G launch. - Focus on gaining market share in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, as the top 5 cities contributed 55% of the total revenue, while the other 11 cities combined contributed the remaining 45%. - Additionally, many tier 2 and tier 3 cities are generating more ARPU compared to tier 1 cities. - To scale up further, the company needs to focus on increasing TAU, which fell by 8.3% and regain last year's unsubscribed users by 25%. GCC spree pushes up demand for data centres, enters list of top sectors ! GCCs operating in the technology and telecom vertical constitute about 27 percent of the data centre demand, followed by banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) at 20 percent. Another reason why GCCs are rapidly availing the services of data centres is the recent data localisation requirements, which are part of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. GCCs, which are dedicated offshore centres set up by a company to in-source IT and other related business functions, have come into the spotlight of late due to their hiring spree, which has outpaced that of IT service companies. GCCs, which are dedicated offshore centres set up by a company to in-source IT and other related business functions, have come into the spotlight of late due to their hiring spree, which has outpaced that of IT service companies. Currently, India’s operational data centre capacity stands at 1.1 gigawatts, with another 1.7 gigawatts either under construction or planned in the coming five years, according to data from Cushman & Wakefield. Currently, India is the 13th largest data centre hub in the world. Despite the concentration of data centres in major metropolitan hubs such as Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru, there is a growing recognition of the untapped potential in Tier II and III cities. “Because of the GCC spread, Tier II and III cities such as Pune, Nagpur, Kolkata, Kochi, Coimbatore and Vadodara are becoming hub spots for data centres,” Loliwala said. #gcc # datacenter #gcctech #gcctelecom #gccindia

🚀 Excited to share my very first LinkedIn post, where I present my WaveCon Telecom 5G Impact Analysis, completed as part of the #CodeBasicsVirtualInternship. Using an existing Power BI dashboard, I analyzed WaveCon Telecom’s performance after the 5G launch. 🔍 Revenue Insights: Major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata saw significant growth in revenue post-5G launch, while Chandigarh and Raipur underperformed. City-wise breakdown of active and unsubscribed users provided key insights into customer behavior and plan preferences. 📊 KPI Performance: Identified KPIs that underperformed after the 5G rollout, helping focus efforts on areas needing improvement. Plans like the Mini Data Saver Pack and Rs.99 Full Talktime Combo Pack are struggling, and recommendations were made to discontinue these and shift to more data-centric offerings to align with customer preferences in the 5G era. 📈 Plan Performance: High-performing plans saw a 33% revenue increase, while others dropped by 72%, indicating a clear need for reevaluation of lower-performing options. With the 5G rollout, data demands surged, and the Xstream Mobile Data Pack emerged as a key area of concern due to its low performance. We suggested discontinuation and replacement with larger, more competitive data packages. 🔑 Actionable Recommendations: Revamping and refining plan offerings to capitalize on 5G's high bandwidth and data usage potential. Focusing on user-centric approaches to ensure customer satisfaction and increased retention rates. I want to extend my gratitude to the Codebasics team ,Dhaval Patel and Hemanand Vadivel for their guidance and for providing such an enriching learning experience. Looking forward to applying these insights and enhancing my data analysis skills further! #TelecomAnalysis #5GRevolution #DataAnalytics #PowerBI #Codebasics #Telecom #CustomerExperience

[#MarketDynamics] [#India] In the first half of 2024, India data centers experienced significant growth, with the total IT capacity increasing by 21% (YoY), data centers added approximately 71MW of capacity during H1-2024. This growth builds on the momentum from 2023 when the country’s data center capacity grew by approximately 255 MW, this is expected to continue with projections at a rate of 25-30% annual growth in the coming years. Current Market Trend: · #Mumbai remains the dominant market holding over 54% of the total capacity, as this city is known for its role as the financial capital of India. · #Chennai follows with more than 12% of the capacity, leveraging its strategic position on the East Coast. · #Bangalore, #Pune, and #Hyderabad together account for over 30% of the market share, these locations are also expected to see significant growth in the coming years. In the remaining months of 2024, demand is projected to reach 400 MW, indicating a 14.28% shortfall compared to the expected supply. This demand was mainly driven by hyperscalers, Banking, Financial Service and Insurance (BFSI), IT & ITeS, and service sectors. This significant growth is driving an increasing demand in the workforce for the data center industry. NV5 Data Centre & Mission Critical India’s experience mirrors this trend – our team in India grew 20% in the last year, with the addition of the Hyderabad office and the expansion of the Bangalore office. As the data centre industry rapidly expands in India, we're witnessing growth beyond the usual hubs like Mumbai and Chennai. Here's why emerging cities are becoming new hotspots for data centres: 1. New Strategic Locations: Cities such as Kochi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Patna, and Visakhapatnam are gaining traction due to their strategic positioning and improved infrastructure. These locations offer: - Enhanced power supply - Upgraded fibre and cable connectivity 2. Proximity to Growing User Base: By expanding to Tier-2 cities, companies can serve a more distributed user base, leading to: - Faster response times - Reduced latency for time-sensitive applications 3. Cost Efficiency: - Cheaper land and construction costs in these emerging locations compared to major metro cities - Significant savings for companies investing in these regions 4. Network Resilience: Diversifying data center locations: - Spreads economic benefits across more regions - Strengthens overall network resilience by reducing the risks of clustering in a few areas While cities like Mumbai and Chennai continue to dominate due to their reliable power supply, proximity to submarine cable landings, and large end-user markets, Delhi-NCR and Hyderabad are also seeing increased demand. Regulatory incentives and the substantial demand from government organizations drive this growth. Rounak Real Estate Consultants stays ahead of these trends, offering strategic guidance for data center investments in established and emerging regions.
