Completed a comprehensive analysis of a telecom company's business and the impact of 5G on its revenue. Here are my observations: - After the 5G launch, the revenue dropped by 0.5%, and the TAU decreased by 8.3%. - However, the ARPU increased by 11.1% to 211.3 INR per user. - Plan p1 remains the top plan with 22% of the total monthly revenue. - Tier 1 cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bangalore combined contribute to more than 55% of every plan. (ARPU-Average Revenue Per User, TAU-Total Active Users) Based on my analysis, here are my recommendations for Wavecon Telecom: - Discontinue plan p7 immediately, as its revenue fell by 77% after the 5G launch. - Focus on gaining market share in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, as the top 5 cities contributed 55% of the total revenue, while the other 11 cities combined contributed the remaining 45%. - Additionally, many tier 2 and tier 3 cities are generating more ARPU compared to tier 1 cities. - To scale up further, the company needs to focus on increasing TAU, which fell by 8.3% and regain last year's unsubscribed users by 25%. India's GCC Market is estimated to reach US$110 Billion by 2030. Most of the Global Capability Centers want to be in a city like Pune which is an ocean of opportunity to grow and thrive in this cutting edge era. But first the local and heads of various authorities need to make sure our Infrastructure Development is taken care of. Pune gets an International Airport like Bangalore/ Mumbai (As compared to current Lohgaon one) Traffic conditions are improved and public transport / pooling mobility is preferred among various other things. We as a city have it in us to be the next Silicon Valley of India and sustain that position for a long time. But first need to sort out these things!! #GlobalCapabilityCenter #GCC #Hiring

Here are the top 6 Indian cities where GCCs expanded the highest in the last 5 years. India is home to 1700+ GCCs today, who operate out of 2975+ centers across India. The number of GCC centers in India has grown by over 60% in the last 5 years, and this expansion has been spread across all major technology hubs in India. While Bangalore continues to have the highest share of GCCs in the country, its share has reduced from 33% of all units in FY2019 to 29% in FY2024. NCR today is not only one of the fastest growing, but also has become the second largest GCC hub in India, while Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai have emerged as rapid growing locations for GCC centers in India- growing 1.6X faster than Bangalore. GCCs select locations based on talent availability, quality infrastructure, supportive policies, and local innovation ecosystem. This holistic growth supports India’s focus on developing multiple #technology delivery hubs across the country. Discover why Kerala is emerging as a premier Global Capacity Center (GCC) destination: https://lnkd.in/dkRTiNhP India's Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are rapidly expanding, with over 1,580 facilities employing more than 1.66 million professionals. As we move towards 2025, this number is expected to cross 1900, highlighting India's potential as a global tech hub. Kerala is an emerging GCC hub, thanks to its high-quality talent pool in emerging tech fields like AI, ML, and cybersecurity, its strategic location with proximity to vendors, a vibrant start-up ecosystem, and innovative workforce strategies. From the bustling tech hubs of Bengaluru and Hyderabad, the focus is now shifting towards tier-2 and tier-3 cities. According to Binu Jacob, our MD & CEO, the initial move to Tier 1 cities in search of top talent has led to high attrition, so "...it makes sense to make inroads into tier-2 and tier-3 cities."
