WAB2 aims to support 200 startups by providing essential and specialized services for their business ideas. From accounting and legal assistance to tax guidance and elements of marketing strategy, a myriad of services awaits our young innovators. We are still in the process of setting up everything (yeah, it involves public money, so it takes time, especially now), but hopefully within the next few months we going to start and we will help you build your startup technically and build a real business. But here's the kicker – the incubation process isn't a one-size-fits-all deal. Each business model gets a tailor-made approach, an integral part of the incubation journey led by expert managers and supported by a network of institutions and companies, including some fantastic partners and ecosystem players. As if that's not cool enough, startups can also snag financial grants during incubation for those essential tasks to kickstart their MVPs, which can be built using modern no-code technologies saving your time and money! The project spans five specialized areas: Agriculture-Food, Ecology, Industry 4.0, Sports, and Gamedev, forming the innovative foundation for products and services emerging from startups in WAB2. An incredible snapshot below of what is going on in over in the Western Australia #tech & #innovation ecosystem from our WA lead Natasha Prévot of Techvisa ------------------------------------------------------------------ Australia’s largest seed-funded program | Plus Eight Accelerator   Applications for the 2024 Plus Eight Accelerator program have now concluded, marking another significant milestone in a mission to bolster Australian startups. With an increased seed funding pool, this year's program will be one of the largest seed-funded programs in Australia, dedicated to nurturing local startups for global scalability. Over the years, Plus Eight Accelerator has achieved remarkable feats, accelerating 43 startups, securing over $2.5 million in investments through its partner network, and facilitating over $16 million in follow-on investments, leading to an impressive overall portfolio valuation exceeding $110 million.   Successful candidates are invited to participate in an intensive Bootcamp, where they have the opportunity to refine their pitches and presentations in pursuit of securing a spot in Phase One of the program. Phase Two of the program is the final stage where startups that successfully navigated the pitch process get access to a pool of over $1 million in seed funding. Additionally, participants in this phase will be poised for an international immersion trip to London, providing them with an opportunity to explore avenues for market expansion into the UK.   As applications close, the spotlight now shifts to the selected companies embarking on the journey towards realising their entrepreneurial ambitions.
